The top seven have all stopped and are on the medium compound. Lando Norris is inching closer to George Russell and we could see a scrap under the lights for second place very soon.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is not a happy bunny in the Red Bull, telling his pit wall everything is overheating.

What we are seeing is a picture starting to build up of just how cars are affected by being in the dirty air.

This year I've detected a change in Charles Leclerc's attitude on the radio.

He's been quite passive in the past but it seems like he's taking more of a leadership role, they are not letting him do it yet but it's interesting hearing him trying to do that.

  6. Piastri leads once againpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lap 19/57

The dream of a possible one-stopper is gone for Charles Leclerc, maybe it was influenced by Max Verstappen's message that he's struggling for grip on those hards.

Oscar Piastri is back to the head of the field followed by George Russell and McLaren team-mate Lando Norris.

Ferrari have gone for the double bubble for their first stops. Charles Leclerc is told it's medium tyres again, which the Monegasque driver doesn't seem too keen on.

The race pace of the McLaren looks very good and they are generally able to look after their tyres better than some of the other cars around them.

The Red Bull stop for Yuki Tsunoda was also a slow one. Max Verstappen is moved up to P10 on his hard tyres as team-mate Tsunoda overtakes Isack Hadjar for 13th place.

Ferrari are still on Plan B for now, Charles Leclerc is told. The Monegasque driver fancies some Plan D action instead.

Lando Norris has not lost too much time with that five-second penalty, he's still in the game here.

  14. Piastri into the pitspublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lap 15/57

In comes the race leader. Oscar Piastri is a 2.3 second stop and is now in possession of some yellow rubber. The Australian takes his place behind Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari in third place, with Charles Leclerc moving up to the P1 spot, as the two Scuderia driver are yet to pit.

It's interesting that Max Verstappen has gone onto the hard tyre, he's got two fresh sets of those when no one else does.

This is a gamble because no one knows how the hard tyre is going to perform in these conditions.

The pit window has been flung open and George Russell is the next driver to swap his rubber. Softs are traded in for the medium and rejoins in seventh spot.

Time for the Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli, who is doing his final exams in school, to dump his tyres for a fresh set of mediums. He's back out into the action in 15th place.

Everyone is choosing the medium tyre which is interesting because we heard Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton talking about struggling on those medium tyres which they started the race.

That was a longer pit stop than usual for Max Verstappen. He lets out a naughty word on the radio, as the red light above him fails to change to green. The Dutchman has two sets if new hards and is now up to 16th place.

Oscar Piastri is nearly four seconds ahead of the Mercedes of George Russell, Charles Leclerc is running in third and Kimi Antonelli is back to fourth place.
