Lewis Hamilton has scored points in every race so far in 2025, won a sprint race and was so close to a podium at the last race. The Ferrari is a shocker of a car to drive but he will prevail. He always does.

Once you've got these cars set up for a grand prix, there is a difference in form between the drivers who typically don't make it through to Q3. Alpine and Haas have not made it through and they seem to be finding it difficult in a longer race setup trim.

Carlos Sainz can't improve so he is eliminated. George Russell does improve to go sixth quickest and that should be enough.

Max Verstappen isn't heading out, opting to save his tyres for Q3. He should be safely through anyway.

Hamilton is probably the best F1 driver in history. But people need to start examining the possibility that he needs to retire. He isn’t quick enough.

Isack Hadjar continues to impress me. He seems to have a very solid delivery of results, you keep waiting for the drop out but there doesn't seem to be too many.

He has delivered in his first season of Formula 1 brilliantly.

Lando Norris is second quickest and just 0.089s off Oscar Piastri's time. There can be no margin for error as these two battle for pole position.
