Kim Little had just gone agonisingly close and produced a decent save from Christiane Endler. They have been really positive so far and it won them another corner, which Arsenal duly took advantage of.

Arsenal's players got together in a little huddle after that goal. It looked like Mariona Caldentey was leading the discussions. She's no stranger to the latter stages of this competition.

Caitlin Foord wins the ball back as Lyon try to play it out. She gives it to Alessia Russo, who slips little through, but her curling left-footed effort is turned around for a corner.

It doesn't take long for Lyon to surge up the other end and threaten.

Kadidiatou Diani goes down the right and hangs a cross in the middle for Tabitha Chawinga to attack, but she can't get her head to it.

The bottom stand, plus this pocket of Arsenal fans, who have been sat up in the gods and have started us off with a rendition of 'North London forever'.

Arsenal need to be front-footed because they need to get the goal and they are a front-footed, pressing team.

They do like to play that way, but you have to be mindful because of the pace the wide players in this Lyon team have and they've got to read situations.

Arsenal certainly have to be clever and make good decisions defensively.

• Lyon have won five of their last six Women’s Champions League matches against Arsenal (L1), including a 2-1 victory in the first leg of this tie.
• Lyon have lost just three of their 15 Champions League matches against English opposition (W9 D3), although all of those three defeats came at home, losing 0-1 to Manchester City in the 2016-17 semi-final, 1-5 to Arsenal in the 2022-23 group stage and 0-1 to Chelsea in the 2022-23 quarter-final.
• Three of the past five teams to lose the first leg of a Champions League knockout stage tie at home have ended up progressing to the next round. However, Arsenal themselves have never qualified from such a position (two previous ties), while Lyon have been eliminated from just two of their 27 previous ties when winning the first leg away.
• Arsenal have failed to win any of their past four knockout away matches in the Champions League (D1 L3), failing to score at all in all three of those defeats. The Gunners have been eliminated from six of their seven semi-finals, with the exception coming in 2006/07, when they won the competition, something no other English club has managed.

The tunes are pumping and the ground is filling up nicely with a section in the opposite stand to the press seats still bathed in sunshine.

Arsenal will have seen the Chelsea score and will not want to be on the end of a similar crushing defeat.

"We had the rarity of getting the full week to turn around the last game and prepare for the next one, so it helped. It gave us an opportunity with the recovery and get the players back and analyse the game really well. We've worked on all the details and there's been great engagement by the players.

"We need to have our concentration levels really high because we know they have so much threat up top, so we need to stop everything. Every second of the game the players are on the pitch they need to concentrate and that going to be key for us.

"We need to be good on the ball, play our game the Arsenal way and set up even better chances than w had last week and finish them off."

He Joe Montemurro will know the team inside out - a lot of that Arsenal squad was brought in by him.

Credit to Arsenal, they played well [in the first leg]. They created a lot of opportunities but really failed to capitalise on them. They counted on the fact that Wendie Renard wasn't playing [for Lyon] but she could return today so they might need to play in and around the area a bit more.

I think Arsenal have a real opportunity if they have a good go.

Arsenal's run to the semi-finals will give them hope that they will be able to overturn the deficit today.

They've had to come from behind in second legs twice already this campaign.

They beat Hacken after a first-leg defeat and did the same against Real Madrid, albeit in both of those fixtures the second leg was at home.

Arsenal defender Katie McCabe says she "can't wait to embrace" the feeling of being in a Champions League semi-final and her side need to be perfect to turn around their tie this evening.

The Gunners were beaten at home 2-1 in the first leg last Saturday.

"You have to have it all," McCabe said in a pre-match newsd conference. "You have to have the grit, the perseverance, the courage to step up in these games. We were frustrated at times, especially in the first leg, by the fine margins and not getting over the line as such. But we've been hard at it.

"In terms of looking at how we can do better in those moments, keep improving, keep creating those opportunities. It's all on Sunday now to make sure we get over the line."

Lyon under Joe Montemurro are not afraid to not have the ball. They get the goals they need, sit back and don't seek to dominate necessarily

They're a team that will play in transition and their players, especially in that front three, are all really dynamic and can play into space, carry the ball or threat in the box.

I don't think it suits Arsenal necessarily to play on the counter. They will probably assess the first 10-15 minutes of the game and adapt from there.

Lyon's women usually host matches at the Stade Gérard Houllier, named after the former OL and Liverpool boss.

That is situated just next to Lyon's training ground, which is pretty much next door to the Groupama Stadium.

But, it only holds around 1,524 fans so the men's stadium is preferred on these big occasions.
