Charles Leclerc finishes his Monza day out in fourth place, George Rusell is fifth for Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton brings the second Ferrari home in sixth.

Alex Albon collects more points for Williams in seventh, rookie Gabriel Bortoleto adds to his tally in eighth, Kimi Antonelli keeps hold of ninth place despite his time five-second penalty and Zandvoort podium finsher Isack Hadjar ends his race in 10th spot after starting from the pit lane.

Engineer: "That's the Italian double. Fantastico."

Verstappen: "Yes, that was unbelievable guys! Well done everyone. We executed that really well. What an unbelievable weekend. We can be really proud of that."

Engineer: "Oscar this is a bit like Hungary last year, we pitted in this order for team reasons. Please let Lando pass and then you are free to race."

Piastri: "I mean, we said a slow pit stop was part of racing, I don't get it."

Kimi Antonelli has been given a five-second time penalty for driving eratically, but luckily for the Italian teenager, he won't lose out to Isack Hadjar, who is in 10th spot.

Max Verstappen is on his way to another victory to add to his career tally, and the second win this season inn Italy.

Oscar Piastri was saying on the radio that he "doesn't get it" why he was asked to move aside because a pit stop is still racing.

Mentality and team work is all when it comes to McLaren, they are so fair in their way of tackling this season, it seems almost clear-cut.

The gap out in front for Max Verstappen is a very comfortable 19 seconds. He clocked the fastest lap in F1 history yesterday and he's easing to his third victory of the campaign from pole position at Monza today.

Isack Hadjar, who started in the pit lane, has made it up into the points in 10th place. But he may get the chance to move further up the order...

Steffi Ede: Exactly the right thing for McLaren (and Piastri) to do. If they'd left it like that they may as well have chucked a grenade into the middle of the garage.

Jeremiah: That's strange of McLaren to give Team Orders to Oscar, then after Norris pass go on to say "free to race"! It is giving on one hand and also trying to play safe!

I would love to hear what McLaren said to Oscar Piastri and what his response was if there was one, but they're trying to play it fair between the two.

Engineer: "Norris and Piastri have swapped places Max."

Verstappen: "Ha! Just because he had a slow stop?"

Race leader Max Verstappen is told by his engineer that Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have swapped positions. The Dutchman's reaction? He laughs, amused at the information he's just been given.

The two McLarens - Lando Norris in second and Oscar Piastri in third - are both on the soft tyre for the final stint of this Italian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc is in fourth and George Russell completes the top five in fifth.

The call comes in to Oscar Piastri - give the place back to Lando Norris, and then the pair of you are free to race each other. Piastri does bring up that it was a slow stop, so not it's not really like Hungary last year, but he duly does as he's told as slots back to third.

Engineer: "You've done all of the hard work. So let's just bring it home, no risk."

Verstappen: "No risk, full push."

What do McLaren do now? Do they try and right the wrong now that Lando Norris has come out behind his team-mate Oscar Piastri? Here comes a radio message...

I think that McLaren have realised that they can't take the fight to Red Bull. Max Verstappen did such a good job on that medium tyre compared to them, they haven't got much hope really of winning the race.

Oh dear. That is not what Lando Norris would've hoped for. The left front tyre doesn't want to play ball and the Briton is forced to wait longer than usual. He comes out behind his team-mate Oscar Piastri and into third. Max Verstappen is back in front, with Australian Piastri in second.
