What will qualifying in Jeddah bring Lewis Hamilton? The seven-time world champion is down in 12th place while his Ferrari team-mate sits fourth. But Charles Leclerc's P4 has turned to P5 now, as Max Verstappen, with the aid of a slipstream, slots into the Monegasque driver's spot.
The Red Bull man, third in the championship, is more than eight-tenths off Lando Norris' best time.

The time is ticking away in third practice and the chequered flag is drawing closer. Lando Norris completes his latest efforts on the softs before qualifying and jumps above his team-mate by 0.024 seconds.
For Lewis Hamilton, he's going for a flyer again, but he has asked his pit wall to tell him where he is losing time over the lap. His closing reply to the information he receives is "jeez"...

Over at Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is hanging on to the top five and running in fourth place with a 1:28.327.
His new team-mate Lewis Hamilton is nowhere near touching the top spots and is sitting down in 12th place behind the Haas of Oliver Bearman and the Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson.
Hamilton has said he is having to learn a different driving style to fit the Italian team and on his latest lap on the softs, he struggles to control the car and runs wide out of Turn One.

Nulla Pax: I would love for Max to leave F1 - become a champion in a different series - then return to F1.
He would always be welcomed back by any team.

After a small break, cars are heading back out for some more work on the softs.
George Russell is quickest in the middle sector and goes to the top of the timesheets but that doesn't last long, as Oscar Piastri is rapid around Sakhir this weekend. Purple, purple everywhere for the Australian and he hits a 1:27.513.
Russell's time, which is now P3, is 0.701 seconds off Piastri's.

Yuki Tsunoda is closer but I don't think anybody is going to be much closer to Max Verstappen, the car is built around him and he's a once in a generation talent.
To be two to three-tenths off Verstappen isn't a bad job, but that car is no longer the quickest car out there.
The problem Lando Norris has had over the last few races is consistency in lap time, he can do the sectors but he's struggling to put together consistent series of fast laps.

Oscar Piastri is still leading the way in third practice, his latest time on the softs before qualifying begins is a 1:28.470 - two-tenths quicker than his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris.
Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz follow on behind.
