  1. 6 runs

Kent reach 150published at 15:18 British Summer Time

    Lancs 639-9d v Kent 374 & 152-7

The first maximum of the Kent second innings.

Joey Evison muscles Chris Green over the rope and up comes the Kent 150.

A mere statistic which doesn't really impact the bigger picture.

    They trail by 114 runs.

  2. Postpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time

    Lancs 639-9d v Kent 374 & 146-7

Grant Stewart smacks a couple of boundaries for Kent off the bowling of Tom Bailey.

Kent trail by 119 runs but more pertinently still have 44 overs to bat out.

  3. 100 runs

100 for Michael Pepperpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time

    Essex 296 & 280-5 v Hants 453

Hampshire's seamers continue to charge in, but with no success.

Michael Pepper runs Eddie Jack down to deep third to move to his second hundred of the season.

Essex have fought back magnificently today, with Pepper and Tom Westley guiding them towards a draw.

  4. Lammonby to bowl the 26th overpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 86-2 (target 377) v Somerset

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport from Edgbaston

I promise I do not have a radio connection to captain Craig Overton or any influence on this game from my seat in the press box.

But lo and behold four minutes later (see 15.03 post), Overton does turn to Tom Lammonby before Pretorius and Davey!

He did not bowl one ball in the 121.1 overs in the first innings for context.

  5. Postpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time

    Derbyshire 122-0 (target 316) v Gloucs

The chase is very much on in Bristol.

Derbyshire have raced to 122-0 in 22 overs, needing 316 for victory.

Harry Came has 64, while Caleb Jewell has 53. There are 45 overs left in the day. 194 more needed.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time

    Simpson c Lees b Conners 85 (Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 257-5)

A wicket, yes we have a wicket.

John Simpson has just passed 800 first-class runs for the season and he tries to celebrate it by whacking Sam Conners over the rope only for Durham skipper Alex Lees to take a fine catch in the deep.

It would be overstating it to say it's woken everyone up but some spectators opened one eye.

    Sussex lead by 291 runs.

  7. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 85-2 (target 377) v Somerset

    Duck for cover!

The standing umpire is nearly clobbered badly by that charge and smash for four as Sam Hain breaks the shackles after my just described quiet period.

Archie Vaughan beat him, nearly taking his off stump or the edge the ball before, that was a bit batting by numbers, a revenge smash by Hain.

  8. Postpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 80-2 (target 377) v Somerset

Tom Latham and Sam Hain, alongside the kookaburra ball and benign pitch, are squeezing the life out of this game.

It seems to have calmed down rather after that dramatic start.

The two spinners still toiling away, Tom Lammonby had a long bowl in the lunch interval, the first man out there with whites on, so maybe we will see some left arm mediums soon?

Josh Davey or even the overseas seamer Miggy Pretorius would have rights to be tried first mind.

Or if they believe the game's gone maybe they will happily save themselves for Notts at home on Sunday.

  9. 250 runs

250 Up for Sussex & 150 partnershippublished at 15:02 British Summer Time

    Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 251-4

We've got a drinks break now.

Let's face it, Sussex are not going to declare and we are not going to see Jofra Archer bowler anymore in this game.

Eighteen overs, eight maidens and one wicket for 32 runs plus a handy 31 in the first innings are what he has to show for his four days in the North East.

    Sussex lead by 288 runs.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time

    Hameed b Moriarty 38 (Notts 487 & 81-1 v Yorkshire 510)

Dan Moriarty spins one past the outside edge of Haseeb Hameed and takes out middle stump.

A lovely deliver from the Yorkshire left-armer.

Freddie McCann joins Ben Slater in the middle.

  11. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time

    Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 244-4

It seems harsh but it'll go down as a chance.

Matthew Potts gets Danial Ibrahim edging high, Ollie Robinson gets a fingertip to the ball and it would be quite a catch but he can't get enough on it.

Ibrahim has 87 and survives as he heads towards a second first-class century.

    Sussex lead by 278 runs.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time

    Finch c Jennings b Bailey 0 (Lancs 639-9d v Kent 374 & 116-7)

Two wickets in four balls and another fantastic catch by Keaton Jennings.

Tom Bailey finds the inside edge of Harry Finch's bat and Jennings throws himself to his right at short leg to hang on to a beauty.

Kent are heading for a fifth straight defeat.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time

    JK Denly b Bailey 57 (Lancs 639-9d v Kent 374 & 116-6)

Tom Bailey celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

A maiden first-class 50 for Jaydn Denly but his innings over and Kent hopes might be as well.

Tom Bailey dislodges the youngsters bails and the last recognised Kent batsman Harry Finch is in.

Kent trail by 149 runs with just four wickets remaining.

  14. Foxes break Glamorgan standpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time

    Division Two latest

Liam Trevaskis bowlingImage source, Rex Features

Finally a wicket for leaders Leicestershire! Liam Trevaskis gets Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast for a fine 139.

Glamorgan are 266-4 and 43 runs ahead - the Foxes will need more quick wickets to stand a chance of a sixth victory in eight games.

Derbyshire are racing along in their pursuit of 316 to beat Gloucestershire. Harry Came and Caleb Jewell have taken them to 97-0 in 17 overs.

Northants are also going well as they chase 311 to beat Middlesex. They're 81-1.

  15. Postpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time

    Lancs 639-9d v Kent 374 & 111-5

The sun is out at Blackpool.

Jaydn Denly and Joey Evison are resisting the Lancashire attack with James Anderson rotating his bowlers as he looks for a sixth wicket.

    Kent trail by 154 runs.

  16. 100 runs

100 for Tom Westleypublished at 14:41 British Summer Time

    Essex 296 & 250-5 v Hants 453

Tom Westley delivers a true captain's knock for Essex.

He moves to his 30th first-class hundred with a powerful pull shot.

It comes from 250 balls and has featured 11 fours.

  17. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time

    Notts 487 & 64-0 v Yorkshire 510

The players could shake hands now at Trent Bridge.

Ben Slater and Haseeb Hameed are cruising along at more than five an over on this flat pitch.

  18. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 56-2 (target 377) v Somerset

Two slips and a short leg in for Archie Vaughan who causes problems straight away.

The spin twins in tandem now just 15 overs into this fourth innings.

  19. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 52-2 (target 377) v Somerset

Sam Hain is playing far more positively in this innings interestingly.

I am not sure yet whether the chase is on so to speak, but it is odd that he did not do this to get what could have been easy batting bonus points in the first innings.

He shuffles and hits Jack Leach for six straight.

Archie Vaughan to bowl from the City End now.

  20. Danger of falling asleeppublished at 14:26 British Summer Time

Sussex 218-4, lead Durham by 252

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Unmitigated levels of excitement may break out as the new ball has just been taken in CLS.

The old one has been unceremoniously booted off the field. And good riddance to it. It's been utterly dull today. Credit to the batters, who have not lost a wicket, but this is enough to get cricket done away with.

The Kookaburra gives the bowlers about a 15-over window when it's new and that's about it. 20 overs if lucky. And if it gets wet you've had it.

I hope this experiment is abandoned next year, when we have whatever structure to the county season they decide. Sadly there's still three rounds of games to go with it this season.

Ben Raine had a big appeal for LBW against Danial Ibrahim (75) with the first delivery of the new ball, but it was not given. John Simpson has 63. Batting has been extremely straightforward though, on a slow, flat track.

Not sure what will come first? A wicket, or me falling asleep!
