BBC Sport gymnastics expert and two-time CWG champion

"That's another gold for Claudia Fragapane! I wonder if she and Max Whitlock had a sneaky little side bet back at the village on who can finish top of the gold medal pile between the two of them."

Whatever Max Whitlock can do, Claudia Fragapane can too. As well as the Vault and All-Round golds, she has a third piece of Commonwealth gold hanging around her neck after helping England win the team event on Tuesday.

England gymnast Claudia Fragapane has done it! The 16-year-old wins her second gold medal in two days, adding the Vault to the All-Round title. She chalks up 14.766 in her first effort, better than her qualifying mark, then nails her second.

The suspense is almost too much, her eyes are fixed on the scoreboard, the judges taking an eternity to make up their minds. The fans start to slow clap the judges before all is revealed - an average score of 14.633. That pip Canada's Elisabeth Black, who takes silver.

Someone open that top drawer - because India's Dipa Karmakar has just pulled a seven-difficulty vault out of it. But, despite her heroics in the second attempt, it is not enough to dislodge Elisabeth Black from the gold-medal position.

Coming up from 16:30 BST, the culmination of the wrestling tournament. It may be vastly different from the type of grappling enjoyed by Hulk Hogan or The Rock, but that doesn't mean it is any less entertaining to watch.

While the gold-medal matches are devoid of wrestlers from around the British Isles, there is still home interest in three of the four weight categories.

Scotland's Kathryn Marsh goes for bronze against England's Louisa Porogovska in the women's 55kg, before another Scot, Alex Gladkov, tries to do the same in the men's 65kg. The women's 63kg class features two Britons - Chloe Spiteri of England and Sarah Connolly of Wales will separately battle for bronzes.

    Christine Still
BBC Sport gymnastics expert and veteran coach

"England's Kelly Simm is a fabulously powerful gymnast. You can see when she contacts the platform her elbows are locked, that's what gives her the time for two twists in the air. She will definitely challenge with that.

"These vaults are very hard, they do not get the credit I think they should do, it is very complex twisting for these gymnasts."

Unfortunately for Kelly Simm, her moment in the golden gaze lasts for a matter of seconds. Canada teenager Elisabeth Black moves into first with an average score of 14.433.

Then, Black's team-mate Maegan Chant also pips Simm to go into silver. Two more gymnasts, including England's Claudia Fragapane, left.

While 16-year-old Claudia Fragapane is the favourite for gold in her debut season at senior level, there is another English medal hope in this final. Kelly Simm, who won the 2014 British title, is aiming to outscore new leader Kirsten Beckett's 14.116 score.

She's next to hurtle towards the vault, double twisting in her first jump, then goes even better in an aggressive, although slightly easier, second attempt. Does that give her a medal chance? Yes it does! Simm scores 14.199 to put her first with four more athletes to go.

England's Max Whitlock after winning gold in the men's floor tells BBC Sport: "This medal gives me a lot of confidence going into later events with three medals under my belt now. I'm looking forward to the battle with Louis Smith and Daniel Keatings in the pommel horse now."

The gymnasts stride out into the Hydro Arena as home hope Emma White goes second. The 24-year-old only just scraped into the final, but is certainly worthy of her place on the evidence of her two vaults. She jolts a little on her second landing, but it gives her a average score of 13.550, just behind current leader Georgia Rose Brown of Australia.

"I am pleased, I had a bit of a blip in the team event but have learned from that. There is a steep learning curve here but hopefully I can step it up."

The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, talking about the future of the Commonwealth Games on BBC Radio 5 Live: "There is no danger of it disappearing. It is an essential part of the sporting calendar.

"However, the calendar is so busy and cramped and somehow we need to pace it better for athletes and it is up to the sporting federations to manage the schedule so that things that matter to athletes and audiences get priority.

"But the Games are in good shape and good heart. It is great to see the attendance of athletes from places as far away as St Helena, who have made a real effort, are coming to the Games with much better teams and are really competing."

    Aimee Lewis
    BBC Sport in Glasgow

"Double Olympic medallist Louis Smith has been watching his friends and rivals tumble and twist on the floor from the stands. The Englishman will be competing in the pommel and that competition is expected to be a three-horse race (sorry).

"The Commonwealth all-around and floor champion Max Whitlock is the favourite as his routine has the highest tariff of difficulty. But Smith and Scotland's Dan Keatings should also produce world-class routines. Exciting times ahead."
