The first of the squash singles finals is arguably the match of the tournament, as it pits Malaysia's world number one Nicol David against England's world champion Laura Massaro.

David, the defending champion, has dominated the sport for much of the last decade, collecting seven world titles along the way, but Massaro, from Chorley, has set about toppling the superstar of squash over the last 18 months.

The English player beat David to win the British Open - The 'Wimbledon of squash' - in 2013, and then won her first world title earlier this year, after David made a shock semi-final exit in front of her home crowd in Kuala Lumpur. Watch the final here.

Alex Marshall and Paul Foster have won Scotland's historic 12th gold medal. The pair thumped Malaysia 20-3 in the men's pairs bowls to make it a record Commonwealth gold rush for the Scots.

Warm applause for Malaysia as they finally get on the scoreboard in end 13 with a double. They won't stop Scotland winning gold but at least it won't be a whitewash.

England's pair of Andrew Knapper and Sam Tolchard are closing in the bronze with an 18-8 lead over Namibia.

At the sunbathed National Hockey Centre, Australia's women are getting ready to face England in a game which could effectively decide top spot in Pool B.

Malaysia's bowls team might look like Tigers but their men's pairs are being rendered toothless by the Scots, who are still romping away with the final. End eight is scoreless with both countries having a wood touching the jack.

But sadly for Malaysia that means they still aren't on the scoreboard and normal service is resumed in the next end as Scotland add two more to their lead.

Not quite as one-sided in the third-fourth play off but England are still comfortable at 12-5 against Namibia.

Alison Curbishley, a 400m Commonwealth Games silver medallist, thinks there is one woman to beat in the 1500m but isn't writing off home medal chances in tomorrow's final.

She tells BBC 5live: "Hellen Obiri looked so supreme. To post a Games record and a time of four minutes, 4.43 seconds in the first heat and look so easy means she is definitely the danger woman. But they will all go to bed tonight thinking about a medal."
