Wait, what? I've got 15 gold medals to keep track of?
Wahhhhhh.
And with news of a fourth gold medal it seems like the perfect time for me to say goodbye.
My work here is done for the day. I'm going to pass you over into much more capable hands of Caroline Chapman who has 15 gold medals to take you through. Eeek.
Thanks for joining me. See you tomorrow/tonight.

Wow. Australia smash the Commonwealth Games record to go top of the standings.
Their time is nine seconds faster than the previous leaders Wales.
The crowd are understandable thrilled. Quite a performance, that.

The Australian team has just been given a deafening reception as they made their way to the start gates.
Wales currently lead the way. Australia, Canada, New Zealand and England are still to come. The top two qualifiers will compete for gold.
Just waking up? You've missed some big shocks on day one on the Gold Coast.

A solid start for England. They comfortably beat South Africa 2-0 in their opening hockey group game.

The tension is mounting and the music getting more sinister as we reach the end of this weightlifting competition.
The thuds when the lifters drop the bar are getting heavier and the floor is wobbling more and more as the weight gets higher and higher.
They are lifting twice their bodyweight so no surprise.

Who remembers Maddie Hinch saving everything in the Olympic final?
Not such a need today. She’s a little lonely in that area.
England easing home here, as you’d expect against a side ranked 12 places below them.
Badminton
A bit of (torrential) rain won’t dampen their enthusiasm!
It’s a really potentially surprisingly great atmosphere here at the badders today. It’s not a sport Australia are traditionally that strong at but families are taking advantage of the school holidays and flooding into the badminton venue this afternoon!
England 34-14 Scotland
England have stormed ahead to take a healthy lead against Scotland in their pool B opener.
The Scots could only add five goals in the second quarter.
You can watch the second half live here.
England lead against fading Scots
A good crowd has turned up for Scotland and England’s first preliminary match.
The Roses started strong as expected, and gradually are running away with the lead.
Scotland have had their fair share of chances though, and Bethan Goodwin has been superb at goal shooter.
The last time the two sides met, England dominated resulting in a 61-48 finish.
The Scots will be doing all in their power to stop them from running away with this one.

I’ve just had a chat with England goalkeeper George Pinner who is here watching his wife Jo Hunter.
Pinner - one of three captains for the men’s side who play tomorrow - is a big fan of wake boarding, so you’d think he would have had the chance to have a go at the waves out here.
He explains one of his family rented a board this week and as soon as they set foot in the water, a shark alarm went off.
Minutes later the all clear was given. “It’s ok, the shark’s gone,” Pinner’s pal was told.
As the big keeper said to me: “How would you know that after a minute?”
Stay out of the water folks.
England still cruising 2-0 with 10 minutes left as more and more yellow filters in before Australia play next.

After easing through the first game 21-11 Rajiv Ouseph was pushed a little harder by Ugandan opponent Edwin Ekiring in the second, but the Englishman still saw off the challenge to seal the win 21-15.
“It was probably better I had a bit of a workout in that second game as it gave me more of a workout,” he tells me.
“For us the team event is very important as a good start for the team really helps us going into our other events and we want to push on for a medal.”
England now lead 2-0 vs Uganda, meaning a win for debutant Chloe Birch will seal victory for the 2014 silver medallist in this opening group-stage encounter.

Heartbreak for Wales in the women's team pursuit. Canada sneak in in third place in qualifying and that bumps Wales down out of the medal races.
Australia will race against New Zealand for gold. England will race Canada for bronze.
Wales finish fifth.

The strain tells as England's Kelly-Jo Robson struggles to lift 83kg in the jerk but she nails it second time and goes into the lead after the first five competitors.
But plenty of big guns still to come and take the medals.
