It's been a bit of a horror show for Matty Lee.

The English diver is obviously injured and every time he exits the pool he's holding a different body part in pain.

Lee's tricep on his right side is causing him all sorts of problems but his final dive is decent. He signs off his Commonwealth Games with his best score of 70.20.

Home nation divers are dropping out of medal contention in the latter stages but Matt Dixon remains in the hunt for an honour in the last diving event of Gold Coast 2018.

When he made his debut - at the age of 14 - at Glasgow 2014 he was dubbed the ‘new Tom Daley’ owing to his physical similarities and the fact they both hail from Plymouth.

That was a lot of pressure for Dixon who is a different diver and has taken longer to develop. He’s now starting to show his potential and could challenge Daley for a place at Tokyo 2020 especially given the world champion’s current injury problems.

Really feel for Matty Lee. He’s having a nightmare 10m final and he is so much better than this.

The 20-year-old told me after the preliminaries this morning that he was struggling with a triceps injury and he is well below his best.

A fully fit Lee would be a medal contender if not challenging for the outright title, but he’s frustrated and is shaking his head and fist as he heads off poolside after another disappointing dive in the fourth round.

It's half-time in the men's hockey gold medal match, and it's advantage Australia as they lead New Zealand 2-0.

The hosts have won every men's title since the sport was introduced to the Commonwealth Games in 1998, and as it stands, that's not a run that's going to end any time soon.

He lands as flat as a pancake on his stomach and looks very winded. We're wincing in the office right now.

He gets a score of 16.65 and probably a massive bruise.
