    Defending champion Cypriot Marios Georgiou has not qualified but there is huge home nations representation with England’s Jake Jarman who won the all-around gold yesterday and Giarnni Regini-Moran,the current British floor champion.

    Scotland’s Frank Baines is desperate to improve on his fourth place finish in 2018.

    Eamon Montgomery goes for Northern Ireland with Emil Barber and Joe Cemlyn-Jones competing for Wales.

    Scotland flyweight Lennon Mulligan on reaching the quarter-finals with a unanimous victory on points over Kiribati's Eriu Temakau: "It was good. I didn't know anything about the other guy, so my plan was to come out, keep my shape, see how it is and go from there.

    "I just had to work behind my jab and everything unfolded after that."

    On the importance of the Commonwealth Games: "The European and Worlds are big but this is a big stage and a big platform. It is just brilliant to be down here and I just hope to go all the way.

    "I can beat anybody put in front of me."

    Scotland women kept their chances of reaching the Commonwealth Games hockey semi-finals alive by thrashing Kenya 12-0 in Pool B.

    Charlotte Watson, Sarah Jamieson and Fiona Burnet all scored twice as Scotland cruised to their second win.

    They sit second in Pool B, level on points with Australia and New Zealand who have both played one game fewer.
