Sho: Max forcing a car off track again, and again, and again. Different rules for Verstappen I guess compared to everyone I else.

ashic: Verstappen isn't fit to drive in F1. Things are getting more and more ridiculous by the week.

There was contact between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris on their second round of fighting. Norris was on the grass at the first incident, with Verstappen gaining an advantage a few corners later. The stewards are looking at both these moments of drama.

Norris was furious on the radio.

That brings Norris right into play behind Verstappen, Sainz has got nothing to lose, he just wants to go out and win this race.

Anthony Bubb: Perez has been in F1 for over 10 years now. That is really really poor from him.

Oscar Piastri was a medium starter but the McLaren driver hasn't made up any places just yet. He's stuck down in P17 with the two Saubers of Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas ahead of him.

I don't think [Perez' penalty] that is that bad, he gained so many positions on the opening lap, he would have lost more than five seconds in probably one lap trying to overtake. The fact he's gained all those positions, I think you take that five seconds.

Max Verstappen is keeping ahead of Carlos Sainz, even though the Ferrari has that slipstream down to Turn One, and is now eight-tenths in front of the Spaniard as they cross the line for lap eight.

Perez was outside of his start box, regulations state that your front tyres must be on the white line and no further and he's clearly beyond that.

  14. Safety car endingpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    Lap 6/71

The verdict is delivered to Sergio Perez: It's a five-second penalty for being too far forward.

Max Verstappen is slowing down, backing the pack up and getting ready to pounce...

    And off he goes!

Charles Leclerc has got water bottle issues, and it sounds like the Ferrari driver is rapidly having to drink the spilling liquids, even when he doesn't want to, as he's zig zagging behind the safety car.

  16. Safety carpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    Lap 4/71

Red Bull are telling Sergio Perez he is under investigation. The Mexican isn't having it, saying it was "a great start". Lewis Hamilton also overtook team-mate George Russell in that chaotic lights out and is now up to fifth, with Russell dropping to sixth.

Liam Lawson is the only RB left, but at least he's up into the points in 10th spot.

It looks like Tsunoda's car is in a straight line, I think that Albon might have squeezed him on the edge of the track, going to the movers and shakers in the pack, it looks like Sergio Perez has made the best start out of everybody, he's made it five places up to P13.

  20. Safety carpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    Lap 2/71

The drama at the start has allowed Sergio Perez to climb up to 13th place. Nico Hulkenberg has also gained a couple of positions and is now in eighth spot.

The wheels of Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon clipped each other three times before the pair crashed out. Pierre Gasly was also involved, the Alpine moving left slightly into the path of Albon.
