Just listening to Lando Norris on his radio comms. He said "I can't push, my front left is grained". The front left is a major problem at this circuit because there are so many hard rights. But, it can come back to you so I wonder if he just cycles through the heat and takes control of that and the graining comes back and he can use that tyre again. It's quite early for those mediums to be graining.

If your engineer is coming to you and saying it's "all to play for", he can see the timing screens, he knows the strategy and he can see the pace of everyone else.
It really gives you an extra boost of motivation and energy to keep pushing on, especially if you know that a podium is in contention.

I'm on Pierre Gasly watch at Alpine. He's just pitted, his second pit stop, he went onto the mediums. His tyres lasted 22 laps on the soft tyres. That's the gauge, it's so hot out there and people are just burning through the tyres.

Jeremiah Kariuki: Leclerc is driving closer to Norris and away from Hamilton. Lewis is actually falling back towards Russell and possibly in a few laps, he will be a defending an overtake from Mercedes. Car 44 is back to the default settings of "undriveable"!
It's so hot out there, I just wonder if the track temperature, which is at 47.9C, is having some sort of effect down there and they're trying to do something else. Verstappen has only one medium, one soft and one hard tyre left. The hard is such a slow tyre. Maybe he will have to go onto a soft, but it will be a used soft

Whatever Red Bull is planning, I can imagine they didn't want to fall behind that Ferrari of Charles Leclerc because it has pushed them out of where they want to go.

[On Max Verstappen's team radio] What that means is when he's on the brakes and trying to turn in the car, the rear of the car is moving a huge amount which we know this Red Bull has a problem with.
He just can't seem to commit to a turn in without the car getting a big snap of oversteer.
Albon served his stop-go penalty, he was given a 10-second penalty. If he didn't serve it, he was going to have to carry it over to Canada so what they have done is serve the penalty, gone out, done another lap and brought him back in to retire the car.
