Tom Greening, a Pom in New Zealand: As if being stuck in the office on a Friday afternoon isn't bad enough, this performance from England isn't helping matters so far.
New Zealand beat England by eight wickets
NZ chase 124 in 12.2 overs - joint record v England
McCullum 77 (25 balls) - fastest World Cup fifty
England 123 (33.2): Root 46; Southee 7-33
England bottom of Pool A; NZ top
Marc Higginson and Adam Williams

Joe Root is trying to get this England innings going by manoeuvring the ball in to gaps. Vettori's an old hand at this though and is giving little away in line or length. New Zealand keeping the pressure on.
Geoffrey Boycott
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"Morgan talked in an interview the other day about his form, saying he's got to take it simple. But he's got to apply that to his batting. He's just got to convince himself and move his feet whatever happens."
Boult continues and looks like he might bowl his allocation right through. Kane Williamson backs up his catch a couple of overs earlier with a diving stop in the gully to deny Joe Root a run. Daniel Vettori runs around from third man to out off a boundary and there's boundless energy in the field from New Zealand. Brendon McCullum gets in on the act with a sprawling stop of his own at mid-off. Electric stuff.
Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport in Wellington
"Brendon McCullum employs six catchers for his mate Eoin Morgan - just what you want when you've managed only two runs in your last four knocks. A couple of balls earlier, McCullum himself came up from mid-off as a seventh."
Daniel Vettori is on to bowl, meaning just a short two-over spell for Adam Milne. Morgan, desperate to get off the mark almost gets in trouble as he tries to take a quick single. They turn it down after some hesitation and give New Zealand half a chance of a run out before Morgan turns and gets back in his crease. He's off the mark without alarm next ball thankfully. Time for drinks.
Andy, external: 2am & I've worked out what's happening - newborn daughter is wanting a feed each time there's an England wicket.
Hope you've got enough bottles lined up Andy....
So, it's under-pressure captain Eoin Morgan in yet again early in an England innings. He's a man in desperate need of some runs and there's some early shuffling in the crease as he searches for bat on ball. A wicket maiden from Trent Boult.
Jeremy Coney
Ex-New Zealand captain on BBC Test Match Special
"He's just ended up hitting it straight to the man at short cover. It actually came over to him quite slowly so he had time to adjust."
Oh no. What have I done there? I've cursed it, haven't I? Gary Ballance cue-ends one to short extra cover as he tries to pull a ball from Trent Boult from outside off stump. A bizarre dismissal and another wicket down for England.
Class bit of timing from Joe Root for his first boundary with a punched drive through the covers off Adam Milne. Nice bit of strike rotation for the remainder of the over as England look to get a partnership going.
Daniel Welch, external: Having moved to Aus recently, it's lovely to hear the voice of Sir Geoffrey again. Hoping for a better showing from Eng today.
Jarleth Eaton, external: Nothing like listening to @bbctms in the middle of the night. Praying for a performance from England tonight.
Starting to see a bit of movement of the seam now after some swing in the early overs. Ballance gets in a tangle against Boult this time as he fends at a ball outside off. Tricky phase for England this and you feel they need to hang in there and ensure wickets are kept in hand for later on. Milne shows a great bit of fielding as he chases a ball to the point boundary to save two runs with a slide and a dive. Impressive effort having just bowled the over before. 50 up for England.
Sam Dixon, external: "Going on my stag do in 3 hours! Chose watching England over a few hours valuable sleep...awful choice!"
The pacey right-armer Adam Milne comes on to bowl in New Zealand's first change. He's continuing his tactic of banging it in to the pitch which we've seen in New Zealand's first two games of this World Cup. Starts with a couple of wides though before a neat delivery which nips away a touch from Gary Ballance.
Bilal Saleem: I pity English fans - they still have hope for wins. Us poor Pakistanis know we're doomed in every game.
England 43-2 (10 overs) after winning toss
Batsmen: Ballance 5*, Root 4*
Fall of wickets: 18-1 (Bell 8), 36-2 (Moeen 20)
Bowling figures: Southee 5-0-23-2, Boult 5-0-18-0
Replays show that shout for leg before from Southee against Ballance in the previous over was out, hitting the top of leg stump. New Zealand couldn't refer it though as they've already used theirs up, ironically against Ballance who survived on "umpire's call". Could that be the luck England need? Another steady over from Boult as the mandatory powerplay comes to an end.
Pete in the Philippines: Oh dear, another abysmal start to a one day game at what point do England supporters have to walk away from these excuses for a cricket team?
Southee, buoyed by two early wickets to his name, continues to bustle in. There's half an appeal for leg before as Ballance scampers through for a leg bye. More steady stuff here from New Zealand, who'll be delighted with the two breakthroughs after losing the toss.
