  4. Player reactionpublished at 06:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

More from Scotland's Kyle Coetzer, who made his Scotland's first World Cup century: "It's been nice to score a few runs but at the end of the day it's the result of the game - and that's disappointing today.

"The guys will be a bit distraught up there - we worked so hard and we feel like we've deserved that win in the World Cup. We've still got a couple of games left, so fingers crossed."

Just waking up? You've missed a decent game of cricket. In a nutshell, Kyle Coetzer's 156 formed the basis of Scotland's 318-8. It was the highest score by an associate batsman at the World Cup, while Scotland's team total was a national record on the big stage.

Unfortunately, Bangladesh never looked troubled on their way to victory with Tamim, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur and Shakib all hitting half-centuries. On the plus side, Josh Davey took two more wickets to move to second on the list of leading wicket-takers at the tournament.

  6. Captain's viewpublished at 06:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza: "The boys have done really well. Tamim was outstanding and Mushfiqur and Shakib were brilliant at the end. Our bowlers still haven't bowled well but it's good our batsmen have scored runs. It will be difficult against England but we will do our best. We still have two chances so if we can't beat England, we'll try to beat New Zealand."

  7. Captain's viewpublished at 06:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Scotland captain Preston Mommsen: "It was tough to take. We did a lot of things right but we couldn't put the full package together. We were happy with 318 but we knew it was still a good wicket. We couldn't create enough chances to take 10 wickets out there. I tried to keep things fresh and keep the batsmen guessing but they managed the run-chase really well.

On Kyle Coetzer's 156: "It was a huge moment for Kyle Coetzer and for Scotland, it was brilliant to see him at his best. Hopefully people back home are very proud."

As for Scotland, you do worry for them against Australia and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh eased to their target of 319 today. They were never truly troubled despite being a batsman down due to opener Anamul Haque injuring his shoulder in the field.

"Sabbir came in at the end when there was a little bit of tension around and struck a couple of sixes. They have batsmen in form and when they get to Adelaide, you can see them causing the England bowlers a headache."

"England will certainly have been watching this. Bangladesh may have gone for 318, but they won the game and they won the game comfortably in the end - they were unruffled. So watch out England."

Remember, Bangladesh play England next. Eoin Morgan's side can't afford any more slip-ups.

  12. Man of the matchpublished at 05:57 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Man of the match Kyle Coetzer, who made 156: "It's not the way we wanted to end the game. We didn't create enough pressure to pick up a few wickets.

"We would have taken that score. But we didn't get many opportunities to get those wickets. They batted really well."

"That's no disgrace for the Scots today. The batsmen fired for the first time and gave them a chance. We knew it was only a chance - not a near certainty - because this is a belting wicket.

"Maybe they weren't quite as disciplined enough in the field - they gave away too many free runs - and there's not enough firepower in that Scotland attack."
