  1. Ban 210-3 (target 319)published at 04:46 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

It's a great ground to be watching cricket. Some haven't moved a muscle on the grassy banks, others just mill around and watch from different vantage points. Then there's a group of Scotland fans who have brought their own deckchairs.

Josh Davey's seventh over costs Scotland two singles, while Mushfiqur is almost run out after being startled by a slower bouncer which scons him on the helmet. All Richie Berrington had to do was hit. He was inches away.

    Andrew Samson
    BBC Test Match Special statistician

"Josh Davey is the second highest wicket-taker at this World Cup with 11 - two behind the leader Tim Southee of New Zealand.

"The seamer also has the most wickets for Scotland in a World Cup tournament, beating John Blain's 10 in 1999."

  3. Ban 208-3 (Mushfiqur 38, Shakib 3)published at 04:39 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Scotland continue to persevere with Matt Machan, who has gone for 34 in his first five overs. They should be trying to get another couple of wickets with their strike bowlers. It's now or never... surely? Instead the batsman knock the ball safely into the gaps and pick up four easy singles.

  4. Ban 204-3 (target 319)published at 04:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

So, Tamim's 95 came off 100 balls and contained nine fours and one six. Some of his cover driving was delightful.

Shakib joins Mushfiqur at the crease. Bangladesh's two best batsmen? I'd say so. Davey, who sends down two consecutive wides, now has 11 wickets in this World Cup. Only Tim Southee (13) has got more.

"Scotland will now think they have a chance in this game. There have been so many twists and turns in this World Cup when things appear to be going well for one team or the other."

  6. WICKETpublished at 04:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

He's gone! It's pitched inside leg-stump and would have hit middle a couple of inches below the bails. Massive wicket for Scotland.

  7. Reviewpublished at 04:31 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Tamim Iqbal brings up the 200 with two off Josh Davey and edges ever closer to that hundred but then is trapped leg before and Scotland think they have him.

"It looks like Bangladesh have things under control. But this World Cup has had a number of twists and turns. You only have two take a couple of wickets and the whole thing can change all of a sudden. If Scotland can break through we may have another twist."

  9. Ban 199-2 (target 319)published at 04:28 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Mushfiqur is blazing his way through the gears now, creaming Majid Haq through the covers for four before helping a single off his hips. These two have now put on 50 in double-quick time. Don't be surprised if they take the powerplay early. The delicate side of Tamim's game again comes to the fore when he waits for a slow delivery and just helps it to third man for three.

  10. Scorecard updatepublished at 04:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

  11. Ban 191-2 (Tamim 90, Mushfiqur 31)published at 04:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

There's an eclectic mix of music blaring out over the ground's PA system. I think I've heard Gangnam Style and a remix of I will Survive in the last five minutes. The crowd is fairly muted as they watch Bangladesh chip away at this target like old pros - ones here, two there and the odd six, Mushfiqur slapping a maximum over cow corner. Matt Machan's latest over goes for 10. I suspect he won't be invited back.

  12. How's stat?published at 04:23 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

    Andrew Samson
    BBC Test Match Special statistician

Bangladesh have successfully chased 300 twice in ODIs: against Zimbabwe in 2009 and New Zealand in 2013.

If they win it will be the second highest successful run chase in a World Cup game behind Ireland's 329-7 v England at Bangalore in 2011.

Mushfiqur looks like he's been batting all day. He's taken no time to get himself in, tickling two down to fine leg and then pulling another couple through mid-wicket when Ali Evans drops short.

Henry Clarson: Scotland needed that wicket. Bowlers weren't looking like favourites to stop Bangladesh reaching 319. Going to the wire again?

  15. Ban 176-2 (Tamim 88, Mushfiqur 18)published at 04:17 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Scotland again turn to part-time offie Matt Machan and a loosener is pounced upon by Mushfiqur who flays a cover drive to the boundary. He does the same to Tamim, but smart fielding on the boundary limits the left-hander to two.

Tamim then goes to ground with cramp and needs attention from the physio. He's soon fine to continue, after thanking the Scots for letting him receive treatment. A single moves Tamim to the highest score by a Bangladeshi in the World Cup (88).

Bangladesh fans show their supportImage source, AFP

"Bangladesh fans start a conga line around the banks of Saxton Oval. It may be 10 past five but the sun is still shining and a few more people have seemed to have ventured to the ground after work.

"Most of the locals are firmly on Scotland's side but they're struggling to be heard amidst the Bangladeshi fans. It tough going all round for anyone on the side of Scots."

  17. Ban 168-2 (target 319)published at 04:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Alasdair Evans bounds in for a new spell and Tamim makes up for missing out on a cover drive by nicking a controlled single down to third man. Bangladesh are finding the ones and twos in their sleep, and it's four from the over.

  18. Ban 164-2 (Tamim 83, Mushfiqur 11)published at 04:07 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Mushfiqur is my favourite Bangladesh player. He's short, gutsy and his batting is effortlessly classy. Natural ability. When Iain Wardlaw bowls one short and wide, the little fella jumps up and slaps four through point. He's fitted seamlessly into the hole left by Mahmudullah's dismissal.

  19. Ban 155-2 (target 319)published at 04:02 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2015

Tamim shows he's got poise to go with his power as he dabs Haq for four down to third man. He's eyeing up a century now, and it's five from the over.
