"Batting second on a slow, brown wicket like the SCG is always more difficult - the wicket slows down. It looks like Sri Lanka have asked for the light roller, and I think that is wrong. You need the heavy roller on this pitch to get the pace back in it. It is a mistake visiting teams often make at the SCG."

Thanks Higgy. Here we go then. History in the making. A 30-ball century for Dilshan beckons. Unbeaten Jayawardene 80 sees Sri Lanka home.

    Or something like that.

Australia centurion Glenn Maxwell: "It was nice to get the monkey off the bat. I have scored a few 90s so to finally hit the hundred was a relief. The top order set it up beautifully for me and Watto to go berserk at the end."

Just waking up? What happened to the Sunday morning lie-in?

Happy to have your company though, and let me tell you about the day's cricket. First of all, there was a fifth win in five games for New Zealand, who beat Afghanistan by six wickets earlier today in Napier.

Daniel Vettori claimed 4-18 off 10 overs as the Kiwis, who had already qualified for the quarter-finals, bowled Afghanistan out for 186. The hosts chased 187 with 13.5 overs to spare thanks to 57 from Martin Guptill.
