  1. Zim 142-4 (Taylor 63, Ervine 7)published at 03:13 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Without being too rude, seeing as I'm a club/village cricketer of questionable ability, but a real piece of agricultural cricket was on show there. Ashwin banged in a short and wide delivery which Taylor "mowed" away for four down to cow corner. Still, it's got the Zimbabwe score going again.

"You don't realise just how loud this crowd can be until they bust out the Mexican wave and it ripples around Eden Park a good five or six times. There is absolutely no way the players will be able to hear each other on the pitch. It's deafening and shortly after, the cries of 'India, India' start up."

  3. Zim 134-4 (run rate 4.19)published at 03:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Mohit Sharma is back on to bowl with his bustling fast-medium. A Mexican wave breaks out in the Eden Park crowd which perhaps tells you that the game's drifted off a bit following that earlier burst of runs between Taylor and Williams.

"The DJ slightly cheekily plays 'Dynamite' by Taio Criz with the lyrics 'I throw my hands up in the air sometimes... gotta let go' aimed at the poor fellow who dropped the ball and his share of the pot on the 'one-handed crowd catch' promotion money. It was a pretty weak effort, to be fair."

  5. Zim 131-4 (Taylor 56, Ervine 3)published at 03:05 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Zimbabwe back in a holding pattern following Sean Williams's dismissal. Just three off Ashwin's latest over and the rate continues to hover at just over four-an-over.

  8. Zim 128-4 (Taylor 55, Ervine 1)published at 03:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Craig Ervine gets off the mark with a nice punch through the off side. A returning Umesh Yadav goes for just two from his comeback over.

  9. Zim 126-4 (Ashwin 5-0-39-1)published at 02:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Craig Ervine is the new man in. Allen McLaughlin gets excited on commentary as he thinks the left-hander plays on second ball. But, the ball went behind to MS Dhoni who then kicked the ball back on to the stumps.

"He didn't quite get to the pitch of the ball so instead of going onto the leg side where he aimed the shot, it went straight back, very low. You could see his fingers grasp the ball, but you could see some dust come up as well, that's where the doubt came from."

"He caught the ball in the shadow of his body, Williams isn't happy and I don't blame him, as the benefit of the doubt did not exist in that decision."

We take a look at a couple of replays. They appear to show Ashwin getting his fingers underneath the ball just in time and it's given out on the big screen. Sean Williams doesn't look too pleased with that though, but he has to go.

"They're going to have a look - and we know what these low catches look like on TV. Did he get his fingers underneath it?"

  14. Third umpirepublished at 02:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Williams drives Ashwin back to the bowler and he takes what appears to be a catch. The batsman's not moving though and we're taking a look upstairs.

"It's disappointing from Zimbabwe's perspective that they're going to lose someone of Brendan Taylor's calibre. He's off to Nottinghamshire on a three-year contract - we've seen a few Zimbabweans and South Africans take that route to England."

  16. 50s for Brendan Taylor and Sean Williamspublished at 02:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Fifty up for Brendan Taylor off 64 balls, including six fours. Next ball - Sean Williams reaches his landmark from 54 balls with a neat drive in to the off side, that's included three fours and three sixes. Warm applause from this crowd and a couple of handshakes between the pair.

  17. Zim 119-3 (Taylor 49, Williams 48)published at 02:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

Think we just got a blast of Bon Jovi's Keep The Faith there on the Eden Park PA. Seem to remember being subjected to that tune a lot by my older teenage sister in my youth. I was more of a Bad Medicine man myself. Anyhow, Jadeja's reels off another over in next to no time for just two.

"One-day batting is all about manipulating the field, so you have the fielders where you want them to be. If there's a man in that position you've got to get rid of him - whether that's by hitting over the top or sweeping."

  19. Zim 117-3 (Taylor 48, Williams 47)published at 02:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2015

More impressive shot selection from Williams who comes down the pitch, turns the ball in to a full toss and drives through extra cover for four more. Suddenly, it's become a race to 50 between these two.

"This is the problem that Dhoni and the Indian bowlers have. The Zimbabwean batsmen are hitting 360 degrees, and with an extra man up in the ring, you can't protect every boundary. Bowlers need to change their tactics on a ground like Eden Park because of the short straight boundaries."
