We'll leave Mr Rudden's tempting poser hanging in the air as we take a short break here at BBC live text HQ. Stay tuned to Test Match Special via the audio icon on this page and we'll be back with you in a jiffy.
D Rudden: West Indies were set a target of 166 after bowling out Kenya in the 1996 CWC, they were bowled out for 93 in 35.3 overs. Hope for UAE?
UAE batsman Amjad Javed on his mindset when coming to crease with the score at 26-5: "I just started to play maximum balls on their merit, I didn't think about runs. When Aziz came I told him to play maximum balls on merit too and not to go for runs early on. Then we could score later on and that's what we managed to do."
Funny old innings that in many respects. At one point Canada's World Cup record low total of 36 looked under threat but the UAE numbers seven eight showed great skill and courage to put on 107 and really make a game of it. Sadly for the associates, once Javed was out they rather crumpled in a heap, but defending 175 is not a hopeless cause.
Lovely ball from Taylor, and it's much to good for a tail-ender. Full, quick and swinging in, through the defences before a meeting with Tauqir's middle stump.

"West Indies were under a bit of pressure for a while from UAE - who have showed some fight today. But Russell has managed to do the damage and it is all looking good for West Indies now. They clearly have a few problems though, their quick bowlers weren't hungry enough."
There's still very little urgency from the Windies in the field. You'd think they'd be fired up as they chase this final wicket and look to get batting. Russell drags a wide down the leg side before they batters pick up a leg bye.
We're down to the final pair now, with Manjula Guruge coming out to join captain Tauqir. Time for one final twist in this rollercoaster of an innings?
Andrew Samson
BBC Test Match Special statistician
"Having equalled their own seventh wicket World Cup record, UAE have added a total of 331 runs for the seventh wicket in this tournament (average 55.16).
"This is the most by any team for the seventh wicket in one World Cup, beating Pakistan's 271 (avg 33.87) in 1999. They also join the 1999 Pakistan team as the only side with three partnerships over 50 for the seventh wicket in one World Cup."

"Aziz is given a standing ovation as he walks back to the pavilion - and rightly so. Along with Javed, he has managed to bring some entertainment to this match."
Samuels has turned the screw very effectively and now he has his reward. Aziz tries to clatter him over the top but slaps it straight to cover. Warm applause follows for a fine, gutsy effort.
David Espinosa: Brilliant effort from Aziz and Javed, mystifying from a clueless Windies though.
Captain Tauqir is the new man, taking a watchful look at his first five deliveries.
Derek Stirling
Ex-New Zealand seamer on BBC Test Match Special
"Perfect delivery by Russell. It just swayed back in, at yorker length. Naveed looked so exciting but playing a full face down the ground there might have been a better approach. His promising little innings comes to an end with his leg stump disturbed."
Naveed's cameo is ended abruptly as he's yorked by a beauty from Russell that makes a horrible mess of the timbers.
Naveed isn't going to die wondering. He guides two to third man then lashes Samuels down the ground for four. He's 14 not out off eight balls.
Oh my, this is huge. Mohammad Naveed allows himself one sighter then heaves Russell over midwicket for a massive sixer. This could be lots of fun.

Ex-Central Districts all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special
"Javed did a great job for his team. He came in at 26-5 and has pulled his team out of the mire. Early in the innings he used the long handle and took it to the opposition then batted more conservatively."
Got him! At last the Windies break the partnership as Javed has a wild heave and inside edges onto his leg stump.
