Kent really enjoying themselves in suburban London at the moment, with Daniel Bell-Drummond seeing the ball well now adding another 10 runs with a six and a four.

Just a reminder, the Spitfires have won six of their last seven games in T20 Blast.

  2. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Somerset manage to tighten it up a little, as Lewis Gregory gives up just six runs from the fourth over - that's about par for a ground which always produces plenty of runs.

Not really been the sniff of a wicket so far: the batsmen trust this pitch and somewhere in the field a certain World Boss is licking his lips....

  3. Postpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

First six of the game as Daniel Bell-Drummond smashes James Fuller's first ball of the over - Sam Billings adds another maximum with the final delivery.

19 off the over, making up for Kent's slow first couple of overs.

  4. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Marcus Trescothick belies his advancing years with an acrobatic stop in the field for Somerset but James Vince is in stand and deliver mode - "disdainful" in the words of BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James - as he hits two fours in succession for Hampshire off Jamie Overton's bowling. Eleven off the over.

  5. Postpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

On a warm evening in Kent, David Payne joins James Fuller in trying to attacking the Kent batting line-up with the ball.

He concedes just one run in the second over as Gloucestershire are yet to get into their stride.

  6. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Solid start for Hampshire, who score six off the first over- all from James Vince's bat - before Michael Carberry gets a look-in off the bowling Sohail Tanvir. Jamie Overton is ready to bowl the next over on a windy late afternoon in Taunton.

  7. Postpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Not the best start in the opening over for Gloucestershire's James Fuller, who bowls a wide with his first ball - and then another one just afterwards.

Kent have sent wicketkeeper Sam Billings up the order to opening the batting with Joe Denly out with a side strain.

At Hove, Dawid Malan and Paul Stirling's record opening stand for Middlesex of 187 helped them to 221-2 and a 42 run win over Sussex.

Luke Wright hit 91 off 47 balls to give Sussex hope, before they lost five wickets for just four runs.

Derbyshire's top-drawer opening pair of Hashim Amla and Tillakaratne Dilshan were the difference as they earned a comfortable five-wicket win over Lancashire.

The international duo put on 93 as the Falcons comfortably chased down Lancashire's 127-9.

Elsewhere Hampshire beat Glamorgan by 21 runs in a low scoring encounter at the Swalec Stadium, Worcestershire raced to a six-wicket win over Leicestershire and Birmingham Bears beat Northants by five wickets.

I promise this will be the last I mention of Chris Gayle...for about 10 minutes...but the big man was the star of the show in week three.

The Jamaican smashed 92 off 59 balls on his Somerset debut to lead his side to a dramatic last-ball win against Essex on Friday, then followed it up with an even more sensational 151 not out albeit in a losing cause against Kent two days later.

Kent lead the early South Group table following their win in Taunton and a 23-run victory over Surrey on Friday night.

Four wickets for Keaton Jennings helped Durham to victory by seven runs as Yorkshire suffered their first T20 Blast setback of the season.

However it wasn't such a happy tale for Paul Collingwood's men on Sunday as they fell to a 15 run defeat at Nottinghamshire.

As we enter the fourth week of the competition, who would your money have been on to be leading the run-scoring charts?

Luke Wright, Jason Roy, Paul Stirling? The man at the top of the pile is actually Kent captain Sam Northeast.

The 24-year-old who once scored 19 hundreds in a term as a schoolboy, has notched up 330 runs in five innings including 114 off just 58 balls in his side's remarkable three-run victory at Somerset on Sunday.

Chris Gayle is behind him in the table with a mere 243 runs. Okay, the West Indian may have got them in just two innings and struck 21 sixes, but come on Chris time to up your game!

  14. Craig Kieswetter retirespublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 5 June 2015

Among all the excitement in the build-up to tonight's action, we've also had the sad news today that Somerset opener Craig Kieswetter has been forced to retire at the age of 27.

Seen as one of the most explosive batsmen in T20 cricket, the England international was struck in the face by a ball which went through his helmet grille last summer.

Following surgery on a broken nose and damaged eye socket, Kieswetter announced his retirement from the game this morning saying he feels 'mentally he will never again be the player he was.'

He will lead the Somerset side out ahead of their T20 match against Hampshire this evening.

The conclusion of England's short Test series against New Zealand means a number of counties welcome back their home-grown international players this evening.

Jos Buttler and Joe Root could face off in the Roses match at Headingley, while the Vikings also welcome back Adam Lyth and Gary Ballance.

Ben Stokes will be looking to continue his fine international form for Durham against Derbyshire.

Stuart Broad has been given the green light to line up for Nottinghamshire against his former county Leicestershire.

Worcestershire are also set to be boosted by the return of Moeen Ali who is likely to open the batting for the Rapids in their match at Northants.

Finally Alastair Cook has been named in the Essex squad for their trip to the Oval, but we'll have to wait and see if he's involved in the action.

Who's looking forward to the Roses match then?

Both sides are set to welcome back some of their England stars and there is also a clash of the Australian big-hitters between the Tykes' Glenn Maxwell and Lancashire's James Faulkner, fresh from his maiden century for the Red Rose county in the Championship.

Which player do you feel will have the biggest impact on tonight's match?

So, what else have we got to look forward to tonight?

With the array of batting talent on show, perhaps there is no better place to start than at Taunton where Somerset take on Hampshire.

While the hosts have the likes of Chris Gayle, Marcus Trescothick and Peter Trego, Hants certainly have men capable of hitting the ball into the River Tone themselves - cue Michael Carberry, James Vince and Sean Ervine.

Elsewhere Nottinghamshire host Leicestershire - fresh from their first County Championship win since 2012, free-scoring Middlesex travel to Cardiff to play Glamorgan and Surrey take on the South Group's bottom side Essex at the Oval.

    Here's the full line-up:

    Kent v Gloucestershire - Beckenham - 17:30 BST

    Somerset v Hampshire - Taunton - 17:30 BST

    Glamorgan v Middlesex - Cardiff - 18:30 BST

    Northamptonshire v Worcestershire - Northampton - 18:30 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Leicestershire - Trent Bridge - 18:30 BST

There will certainly be no love loss when Yorkshire face their old foes Lancashire at a sold-out Headingley this evening.

Roses matches are never short of drama, and that was certainly the case in the match between the two sides at Old Trafford in last year's competition as The Tykes secured a last over win against their oldest rivals.

Aaron Finch was the star of the show that night with 88 off 55 balls, but Yorkshire will have to make do without the injured Australian tonight.

You may be wondering what happened in the return match at Headingley in 2014? I'll let the picture below tell you the rest.

Tonight however, the weather is set fair in Leeds, and we're in for a cracker.

Well, it's been a quiet start to Chris Gayle's stint with Somerset in the T20 Blast hasn't it?

The fun-loving Jamaican has not only served up a couple of mouth-watering innings, including an incredible 151 not out off just 62 balls against Kent on Sunday, he's even been for a few pints with the locals.

Gayle's spectacular century, his 15th in T20 cricket, contained 15 sixes the last of which was retrieved from Taunton's River Tone by fan Martin Bullock.

Somerset are back in action against Hampshire - one of eight games this evening.

It's also the Roses match as Yorkshire take on Lancashire at Headingley which we will be hearing more about shortly...

So get your trunks at the ready because we're all set for another swimmingly good night of T20 Blast cricket!
