  1. Aus 136-3 (Lanning 52*, Perry 9*)published at 37 overs

Brunt stays on for her penultimate over, bowling from rather wide of the crease and sending down a wide delivery that's well out of Lanning's reach - it's signalled as a wide by umpire Alex Wharf. Three singles mean it's four from the over, Brunt has 0-28 from nine.

It's demoralising for England with those chances off Lanning - you've had a missed run-out opportunity on five, and a dropped catch just now. Will they start thinking it's not their day with Meg Lanning?

  3. 50 runs

50 for Meg Lanningpublished at 36 overs

    Aus 132-3

Umpire Martin Saggers signals the batting powerplay so England will have a maximum of three fielders outside the circle from overs 36-40. It's Anya Shrubsole to bowl, and after a couple of singles, Lanning - on 49 - has to jam her bat down on a yorker, but a chop past the keeper brings up her eighth ODI fifty from 67 balls.

  5. Aus 129-3 (Lanning 48*, Perry 7*)published at 35 overs

So, Brunt stays on 99 ODI wickets, she's not the happiest fast bowler when a chance goes down off her bowling. Chastened, England concede three singles.

That's a chance that she'll be really disappointed not to take, as will the whole team as it's the key wicket of Meg Lanning. I'm surprised you can't see a little steam coming out of Brunt's ears.

  7. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 34,2 overs

    Aus 126-3

Dropped! England give Lanning another life, she cuts the ball to point and the normally safe hands of Lydia Greenway can't hold on, despite getting both hands to it above her head.

  9. Aus 126-3 (Lanning 46*, Perry 6*)published at 34 overs

Perry clubs Knight for four through the covers, serving early notice of her intentions (and perhaps gently reminding her captain that she was listed at number four on the scorecard), but otherwise it's a fairly tight over from vice-captain Knight.

It will be interesting to see who Edwards turns to in the powerplay. I think she might turn to the experience of Jenny Gunn, but she has been a bit more expensive than usual today.

  11. Aus 120-3 (Brunt 7-2-21-0)published at 33 overs

Brunt, who's been marooned on 99 ODI wickets since her three-for at Taunton, is giving it everything as she always does, her seventh over only yields two singles. She has three left, Shrubsole has two, so it'll be interesting to see who bowls in the powerplay.

  13. Aus 118-3published at 32 overs

Ellyse Perry is the new batter - she sees out her first ball from Knight, who has dismissed her in each of the first two ODIs in this series.

Healy was keen to hit that ball over the top but couldn't get the elevation on it. But it was a good knock and it took the pressure off Lanning.

    Healy c & b Knight 17 (Aus 118-3)

Heather Knight has a habit of picking up crucial wickets, and she comes up trumps again here - it's not Lanning, but the busy Healy miscues the ball straight back to the bowler and Knight takes a smart return catch.

  16. Aus 113-2 (Brunt 6-2-19-0)published at 31 overs

With Australia having sent Healy up the order to improve their run rate, England captain Charlotte Edwards counters by turning back to her pace spearhead Katherine Brunt - and it nearly works a treat as Lanning gets a bottom edge and nearly chops onto her stumps. Healy, meanwhile, moves to 17 from 16 balls as she lifts a slower ball over wide mid-on for four.

It really is a sluggish outfield. I wonder if the removal of Nicole Bolton has actually helped Australia as she was starting to get rather bogged down. Lanning, meanwhile, looks more likely to get run out than get out any other way in her last two innings, she's been imperious.

  18. Aus 107-2 (Lanning 38*, Healy 12*)published at 30 overs

Lanning and the gum-chewing Healy look to get on with it against Knight, who's bowling round the wicket to the two left-handers. Ones and twos mean it's six from the over.

It was an interesting move to send Healy up, as Perry hasn't done a lot wrong. Healy has opened for Australia in T20 cricket and she's a good strokemaker. This pair aren't afraid to hit over the infield but the ball's not reaching the boundary.

  20. Aus 101-2published at 29 overs

Meg Lanning has been rather starved of the strike here - if it's a deliberate England tactic, it's working, she's only faced seven balls in the last 10 overs... She's not been afraid to hit over the top today, taking two when she chips the ball over extra cover before moving to 33 from 43 balls with a single. Healy similarly hoists a two towards long-on, the ball nearly plugs as soon as it lands on this damp outfield, but it's finally the hundred up for Australia.
