Lanning pushes a single, then there's a brief comedic moment when Bolton straight-drives, Sciver dives to try to stop the ball, Lanning dives to get back into her crease and both bowler and non-striker are momentarily prostrate as the ball trickles towards mid-off. Bolton has only scored one run off her past 14 deliveries - but the sides have earned a drinks break (sorry, "hydration break").

Bolton, rather overshadowed since her captain came in, cuts loose with an aggressive pull shot but Katherine Brunt races round the boundary to cut it off, and deliver a trademark bullet-like throw to restrict them to two. The New Road crowd clearly appreciate good fielding, there's loud applause when Lydia Greenway makes a smart stop at backward point.
