England will be hoping this Delhi pitch is an improvement on some of the others they have played on this tournament. Many of them have been slow, spinning tracks, leading to small totals and precious little of the big-hitting excitement on which T20 cricket prides itself.

England skipper Charlotte Edwards told BBC Sport: "We've played on some average pitches throughout the tournament, especially in Dharamsala, which was tough for the batters.

"In terms of promoting the game, it's not great.

"But we came back to Chennai and felt more at home there, and what I hear Delhi will be a nice wicket for us."

"It is a new wicket, we have now played on three different wickets here and it is about adjusting as quick as we can, the team that adjusts quickest will get a head start.

"In our last couple of games we hit our straps. We are really happy with the confidence and have got to come out here and perform.

"It is a big stage and a big rivalry, we're looking forward to the challenge.

  8. Captain's viewpublished at 09:37

England captain Charlotte Edwards: "We have not played here yet but it looks a decent pitch. I don’t think it will change and we would like to have a chase.

"It looks different to what we have been playing on, it goes through alright and we are hoping to have first dibs.

"The last few matches have brought us together, we’ve had two tight games and it feels like we are prepared for the semi well and are looking forward to it.

"It is the best rivalry going isn’t it? It is one we always look forward to it and hope both teams will play well and it is a good game."

  12. The fiercest rivalrypublished at 09:30

England played Australia at the Rugby and Cricket World Cups. You may remember it didn't go so well.

Sadly, Australia's men have been eliminated from the World T20 (come on, dry those eyes), depriving England's men of the chance to settle the score.

But there is still an opportunity to exact revenge. Over to you, ladies...
