The great thing about the replay of the Test from two years ago is the energy of Nuwan Pradeep's mullet. It's marvelous in its bounciness. A better mullet than Gerry Francis.
Hales 71*, Bairstow 54*
England recover from 83-5
Rain prevents play after tea
Cook 16 - 20 short of 10,000 in Tests

TV have gone to a replay from the match between these two sides on this ground two years ago. Moeen Ali is batting with Joe Root. Moeen gets a ton. England lose.

Now we're talking. Which pub is closest to the square? Where can you see the whites of the batsman's eyes while ordering a pint of lager?

I'm going to need a picture of that please Simon.

Simon Dickinson: The Bowlers Arms is just off the boundary in Wash Common in Berkshire and is a lovely pub too!
Now then. The umpires are out having a look. No hats, no umbrellas. They're talking to a member of the groundstaff. A look to the sky, a rub of the crystal ball, a mutter of some secret incantation. Umpires retreat. Covers remain.

Christopher Lane: Just come out of work and it's bouncing down now in Leeds City Centre! Sadly think that'll be it for the day...
There must be some club cricket grounds that share a boundary with a pub? I'm not talking about a clubhouse with a bar in it, I'm talking bona-fide walk off the boundary and straight into a genuine public house. If you've got one, a picture would be nice.

Robbie Cobbie: Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town: next to a whole brewery.
Tom Fordyce
Chief sports writer at Headingley
"Curious conditions at Headingley - it's relatively bright overhead, and there are brighter patches all around, but the rain for now is heavy enough to soggy a cricket jumper in seconds. Spectators have abandoned the open stands and sought shelter in the bars and beyond. We won't be back on for at least half an hour."
If you're just joining us, there's currently no cricket going on. The players went off for tea and have not reappeared. Rain falling in Leeds, with perhaps quite a bit more to come before we get more action.

Jed Court: The Codfather by the Rose Bowl is a good stop.
Andrew Neill: If it's going to be raining for a while have a drive to the coast and go to The Magpie Cafe in Whitby. Spectacular fish & chips!
Francis Edwards: Used to visit 'The Sing Fong' outside Anifield on a Thursday night, chips like nowhere else. Only reason I went really.
Even if the rain does stop, I'm slightly concerned by the light. Darker than an outhouse in Leeds at the moment.
Other activities to get involved in during a rain break at the cricket include staging your own impromptu game using an umbrella as a bat and a coolbox for stumps, visiting the club shop, browsing the second-hand book stand or arguing with your other half about why you came to watch cricket in the rain.

Malay Nemane: Fulham ground with a pub on every corner! Very convenient indeed.
Robert Dickinson: The chippie outside the away end at Rochdale is famous in lower league footy.
Davidlovesjo: Griffin Park, home of the mighty Brentford, has a pub on each corner.
Still bleak out there. Covers fully on, no groundstaff to be seen. As usual, some poor security folk are forced to stand in the rain and guard the covers. Why is that? To stop pitch invaders?
