We can play until 19:13 tonight, which is perhaps about 10 overs. What damage could England do in that time? Remember, the forecast for tomorrow is ruddy awful.

"This morning, Geoffrey Boycott told us Sri Lanka would not make the follow-on target. It's only fair that we salute his prescience."
An easy decision, no? Perfect conditions for bowling, England with only 36.4 overs in their legs, a Sri Lanka side brittle enough to have lost their last six wickets for 14 runs. Nick Compton looks pleased, he might not have to bat again in this match.

"What a turnaround. Since Angelo Mathews was dismissed, it's been a gentle procession. The match has moved on at a remarkable pace."
Eranga c Bairstow b Anderson 1 (SL 91 all out)
The HotSpot mark on the bat tells you that Sri Lanka are all out for 91. James Anderson has 5-16. When the decision comes, England have a brief chat, then Cook turns to the Sri Lanka and mouths something like "you guys can bat". England have enforced the follow-on.

"I thought it was pad, but the appeal was very confident."
SL 91-9
This is a freebie review. England still have a couple in the bank, so they think it's worth a go. Has Eranga tickled Anderson down the leg side?

Francis Edwards: This has to be the worst Sri Lanka side I have seen in a very, very long time. I reckon the Windies could give this lot a go!
I'm just throwing this out there, but why would Eranga and Pradeep want to get these eight runs? If they do, they'll probably have to bowl again tonight. If they don't, they can stick their feet up and tell the batsmen to have another go.
Nuwan Pradeep the new man. He's a genuine number 11. A ferret, one who goes in after the rabbits. He plays his first delivery from Broad with his feet somewhere near square leg. Shaminda Eranga, it's over to you...

"It was a good catch again from Finn. It is difficult to pick up the pace of the ball from mid-on. Thirimanne has played well, but he got himself out playing the sort of shot he wouldn't have dreamt of playing at five or six down. Sometimes you've got to have faith in the guy at the other end."
Thirimanne c Finn b Broad 22 (SL 91-9)
He's done it again! Steven Finn has got down to take another catch and Sri Lanka are on the brink. It's an awful stroke from Lahiru Thirimanne, a half-hearted whip across the line at Stuart Broad, with Finn coming in from mid-on to swoop low and take the catch. The follow-on looms...

"I would definitely enforce the follow-on. The conditions haven't been that sapping."
Thirimanne, you feel, has to make a move here. The top-order batsman has to do his best to get Sri Lanka over the line. Shaminda Eranga has shuffled out to join him and Thirimanne isn't keen on giving him the strike. Odd light at Headingley. Floodlights still on but the sun trying its hardest. Thirimanne can't pinch the strike. Eranga has to face Broad...

"It was a very good catch. Bear in mind that Steven Finn is 6ft 7in. It was a loose drive, but it's quite hard to gauge at mid-on how well the ball has been struck and how quickly it's coming at you."
Chameera c Finn b Broad 2 (SL 90-8)
The Sri Lanka openers should start thinking about batting again tonight. Steven Finn, the big giraffe, has got down to hold a low one, clinging on as Dushmantha Chameera drove to short mid-off. Sri Lanka still need nine to make England bat again....

"Come on Mr Dar, you were only five yards away. The umpires have got to take responsibility."
SL 90-7
Steven Finn! Whadda catch! Short cover, diving to hold Dushmantha Chameera. Surely this has carried?
Anderson, swinging more than Duke Ellington, again almost turns Chameera inside-out, but the number nine at least manages a single that takes Sri Lanka closer to the follow-on mark. Problem is, he's not got to deal with Stuart Broad.
