Oh Rangana! Another one for the highlights reel. He's just nailed Moeen on the sweep for another boundary. This partnership is worth 58 off 72 balls...

  3. SL 366-6 (trail by 31)published at 12:17 British Summer Time 30 May 2016

Herath is looking in decent touch here - he nails his second pull of the innings and the ball beats the fielder to the boundary rope. Scratch that, he's looking in magisterial touch - he's just eased Steven Finn past point for another four. And again! Caressed through the covers. Finally, Chandimal leathers Finn behind square with a meaty pull. 15 off the overs, Finn's struggles continue...

"Moeen doesn't have any rhythm, that is the worry for me. When he pitches it up, it floats and says hit me. He doesn't look as if he's going to bowl anybody out."

Moeen comes into the attack, and begins with a maiden to Chandimal.

"Having attacking fields send a message to your bowlers. Herath can't bat for toffee. It's only the slowness of the pitch. He doesn't make many runs."

Rod Tucker has been receiving some lavish praise in this match, and quite rightly so. Calm, clear, authoritative: he's dealt with these reviews like a particularly sage schoolmaster, or King Solomon. He's even supplanted Rod Stewart as my favourite celebrity Rod. Chandimal tucks a single off his pads.

"Magnificent decision. Rod Tucker has had an exceptional game as third umpire, he doesn't mess around. He took two minutes rather than the 10 or 15  that some of the others take."

  10. SL 350-6published at 12:01 British Summer Time 30 May 2016

Dear oh dear, the standard of reviewing in this series has been nothing short of lamentable. Chandimal has hit this one, and it was probably high anyway. Apart from that, brilliant. Herath salts the wound with an imperious swivel-pull. I reckon England are batting again here, you know. Time for drinks.

  14. SL 343-6 (trail by 54)published at 11:55 British Summer Time 30 May 2016

Here is Finn, who hasn't been at his best in this match. His first ball is an absolute horror, dragged down, short and wide, and Chandimal gleefully pulverises it over point for four. Good riposte from Finn, rearing up off a good length and almost making life uncomfortable for Chanders. Even Herath is feeling emboldened against Finn, flat-batting him on the off-side for a couple. It's raining at Roland Garros, so that's the most tennis we'll see all morning.

"It was a brilliant bit of fielding from Steven Finn. He would undoubtedly have been out. Swooped down, picks it up one handed. It was actually poor work from Woakes, standing in front of the stumps."

  16. SL 336-6published at 11:50 British Summer Time 30 May 2016

Jonnie, do you really need an excuse to eat cheese and onion pasties all day? Here's Chris Woakes, a man who looks like he doesn't indulge his pastry cravings too often. Almost a run-out as Chandimal sends Herath back for two. Herath, built like a cannonball but decidedly less quick, is well short of his ground, but Woakes lets Steven Finn's throw bounce over the stumps.

Just popped out the room for a cheese and onion pasty, came back to see the sixth wicket gone. Still three in the fridge, so looks like I'll be having cheese and onion pasties throughout the day.

Blimey, it looks grim out there. Spectators rugged up in coats suitable for arctic exploration huddle together as England have a right old conflab, seemingly led by James Anderson. Sweeper in place for Chandimal, who drives Broad to the man on the cover fence for a couple.

Fraser: Sri Lanka bowled out with scores level. Cook to come out first ball and drop to one knee scooping the ball over his head for six.

If you're not aware, Cook needs five runs to reach 10,000 in Tests.
