Right, a big moment. I've just paid £2 to enter the BBC Sport Online Euro 2016 sweepstake. My crumpled piece of paper reveals.... England! I'm pretty pleased with that. In the middle, Bairstow reaches out to send a wide ball from Pradeep through the covers for four. Pradeep, who hasn't had the best of days, then receives an official warning for running on the pitch.

Mr H: Distracted 1: had to wait for family of deer to traverse the square at Knowle Park.

Distracted 2: Umpire (me) & 13yr old bowler swore & hit deck as parent piloted his light aircraft a few feet above the game.

50 for Jonny Bairstowpublished at 16:11

    Eng 175-5

I'm struggling to think of a time when a) an England batsman has turned around his career so drastically and b) when an England batsman has looked in such good touch. Fifty for Jonny Bairstow, racked up in the blink of an eye, albeit with a dropped catch and a strange missed run out. The Yorkshire keeper is in the deepest of purple patches.

David Humphrey: We once had to suspend play for a police chase. Cop car chased the suspect motorbike twice in total across the pitch.

Buzzers! Four of them. Bizarre passage, actually. Bairstow hit on the pads. Appeal. Not out. Jonny B, dawdling, mooches out of his crease. Throw comes in from the off side, would have been out if it hit. Instead runs away for overthrows. Good idea, terrible execution.

Jezzafuji: Howabout distractions while bowling? Farmer in next field at FrintonCC was game shooting & coated me in buckshot during my run-up.

Ben White: I once played with a cow giving birth just over the boundary fence. Stomach turning.

Andrew, a couple of things. Do donkeys fight (and is a group called a herd)? And, you may also have started a new thread of 'strange reasons why cricket was stopped'. Nuwan Pradeep after tea, bowling to Jonny Bairstow, the most in-form batsman since WG Grace stopped shaving.

Andrew White: Match suspended for 20 minutes while two rival herds of donkeys fought on the outfield at Godshill CC in the New Forest.

Thanks, Dawkesy. I return with a sausage roll and a bottle of Lucozade. It's like being a student again. Players just emerging from the pavilion, wiping cake crumbs from their mouths.

Darren Cook: Shuffle the line-up if needed, but Daniel Bell-Drummond must be given a chance. In form, young, talented and highly rated.

Chris Quelch: Pub landlord who let his greyhound loose running cross the pitch chasing a hare, during pub 20/20 game, run chase which we won!

"The well-oiled Lord's crowd almost surprised by Cook's dismissal - once the skipper gets to 85 on a pitch like this, you expect he will push on to three figures. It's now only one century in his past 28 innings for the 10,000-run man, although that one was in fact a two - the 263 against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi last October."

Sri Lanka have an added bounce in their step now. Eranga gets a ball to nip past Moeen's nose as he ducks away. The over ends with a big shout for lbw, which is turned down, I would guess because Moeen hit it. A maiden to end the session. The tourists sandwiches will taste the sweeter.
