The Sri Lankan batting keeps on coming, with Dasun Shanaka the latest to arrive. He's away immediately, guiding a short ball behind point for four. Three overs to, 300 still on the cards, especially if this Sri Lanka total gets a little boost from Duckworth and Lewis.

"Right in the zone. A perfect yorker. It is a shot you would look to take on at this stage but he didn't quite execute it as well as he could do. Willey is just getting a hint of shape through the air, which makes it more difficult to line up as a batsman."
Prasanna b Willey 9 (SL 259-5)
You spoilsport, David Willey. Was 15 minutes of Seekkuge Prasanna too much to ask? 10? We wanted to see his entertaining biffery. Instead, you had to land that yorker, underneath the swing of the bat, removing middle stump. We came to watch him bat, not you bowl.

Steve Briggs: I am starting a petition to protect Trevor Bayliss and Eddie Jones from approaches by the FA.
An ambulance siren is heard in the distance. England's bowlers might need treatment if Prasanna does hang around. Woakes, though, finishes well, getting that yorker into the blockhole.
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"You can see what Woakes is trying to do. He wants to bowl that full yorker, just inside the lines. At least then you can protect one side of the field."

Lewis: Once travelled 3 hours in the car to watch my local football team in a top of the table match. We were 4-0 down at half time.
He's here! One slap to deep point for a couple, then a thick edge to third man for four. I'd be more than happy for Prasanna to bat for 20 minutes.
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"It was like he was flipping a pancake."

This is the man I came to see - Seekkuge Prasanna. He reminds me of that Morecambe and Wise sketch with Andre Previn - "I'm playing all the right shots, but not necessarily in the right order". Awful full toss from Willey, a gift-wrapped full toss sweep-swatted over short fine leg for four by Mathews.
Ed Smith
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
"An important breakthrough."
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"He just gets a little bit too far over and not far enough back in his crease and ends up cramping himself. It's been a good innings - three beautiful sixes."
Chandimal b Willey 63 (SL 245-4)
Bowled him! David Willey gets the reward the accuracy of his leg-stump yorkers deserves. Dinesh Chandimal, who has batted nicely, is a touch frustrated and looks for a sweep shot that isn't on. Too far across, too full, bowled round the legs.

Tom Kerry: Cardiff 2013 6 Nations, spanked by the Welsh on what was supposedly our Grand Slam game, epic failure, huge disappointment
Chris Woakes, side-parting and slippery run-up, joins the fray with this Lankan pair swinging at any delivery in their post code. Woakes is bowling as full and as wide as is legal. It's as risky as asking you best mate's sister out on a date but, for now, Woakes is getting away with it.
"That's Chandimal's third successive half-century - and his quickest of the three, off 42 balls."
Alec Stewart
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"It was almost too high. He got underneath it and it went five rows back."
SL 232-3
Oh yes! What a way to go to 50. Dinesh Chandimal upper-cuts a Liam Plunkett short ball over third man for six. That's not a deflection, that's a both-feet-in-the-air biff. He celebrates by raising both arms in the direction of the dressing room. Hold tight, because this could be about to get tasty.
Alec Stewart
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"It's a real frustration for a captain when the first or the last ball of an over goes for four. It really hurts you."
