  1. Yorkshire need 205 to winpublished at 19:47 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Lancashire 204-7 (20 overs) v Yorkshire

Chase that down Yorkshire, say their Red Rose rivals. However, Lancashire only scored 47 off their final five overs on a very flat batting track.

Jordan Clark, who made a fine 14-ball 28, was out in Tim Bresnan's final over, along with Neil Wagner, to leave Bresnan with the respectable figures of 3-24 amongst the carnage.

Now it's down to Joe Root and co.

  2. Durham hanging inpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Birmingham v Durham 90-4 (12 overs)

Durham keep losing wickets at regular intervals and the Bears are restricting their run-rate in the process.

Can Ryan Pringle (33 not out) give them some sort of platform for a decent score?

  3. 50 runs

50 for Hamish Marshallpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Gloucestershire 102-1 (12.5 overs) v Kent 144-7

Well played, Hamish Marshall! In testing - and freezing - conditions, the opener has been calmness personified.

He has moved serenely to 50 from 31 balls with five fours and one maximum, launched down the ground from James Tredwell's bowling.

  4. Surrey smashing it to all partspublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Sussex v Surrey 118-1 (12 overs)

Who needs the IPL eh?! We've got our own version with some superstars of our own thank you very much!

Surrey have raced to 118 off just 12 overs at Hove with Jason Roy 80 off 45 balls.

How many more can Surrey and Roy get from the remaining 48 balls?!

  5. wicket

WICKET Gayle (c Lawrence b Wahab Riaz 49)published at 19:42 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Somerset 75-1 (7.1 overs) v Essex 178-7

No half-century for Chris Gayle tonight.

He falls one short of the landmark, but he's probably already done more than enough to set his side on their way to victory.

Wahab Riaz brings his 23-ball blitz to an end after five fours and four sixes.

  6. wicket

    WICKET Afridi (c Ingram b Hogan)published at 19:41 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Hampshire 136-8 (17.4 overs) v Glamorgan

What was that I was saying about Michael Hogan? His excellent night continues. He's only gone and taken Boom Boom!

Afridi fires high and Colin Ingram catches him for 32 with just a couple of overs left.

  7. Leicestershire in tatters at halfwaypublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Leicestershire 53-6 (10 overs) v Derbyshire

You've guessed it... more wickets down at Derby.

A spectacular catch from Chesney Hughes helps namesake Alex dismiss Niall O'Brien.

He followed Ben Raine, who swept Matt Critchley straight to deep mid-wicket. The number four's 20 now looks a decent score in the context of the innings.

  8. Punishing Powerplay for Somersetpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Somerset 69-0 (6 overs) v Essex 178-7

Chris Gayle is doing the damage for Somerset against Essex.

Five fours and four sixes so far making the target of 179 look very meagre.

  9. A Steyn on Hampshire's recordpublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Hampshire 126-7 (17 overs) v Glamorgan

Well now, there's something to keep the Cardiff crowd happy. Dale Steyn gets his first wicket for Glamorgan.

He's taken Gareth Berg for just one run and Darren Sammy finally comes out to join Shahid Afridi at the crease.

Earlier on it was very much a case of 'Hogan strikes again'. Michael Hogan (that is) has had a fine night. After claiming Liam Dawson, he's 3-18 and still has an over to bowl.

  10. The flattest track in the game?!published at 19:36 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Sussex v Surrey 92-1 (10 overs)

I'm sure all batsman would want to pack this Hove wicket up and take it home with them.

It's an absolutely marvelous batting track and Surrey are making good use of it.

Jason Roy has moved to 58 off 36 and Kumar Sangakkara, as ever, looking in fine touch on 31 off 18 balls.

  11. Rapids lose anotherpublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Northants v Worcestershire 109-5 (16 overs)

Worcestershire's stuttering innings continues against last year's runners-up Northants.

Daryl Mitchell (34 not out) trying to hold things together though for his side with four overs remaining.

  12. wicket

WICKET (Klinger c Blake b Tredwell 27)published at 19:34 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Gloucestershire 66-1 (8.5 overs) v Kent 144-7

A much-needed breakthrough for Kent - and it's the big wicket of Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger, who holes out in the deep trying to hit spinner James Tredwell all the way.

If the hosts can now winkle out the well-set Hamish Marshall, there's still a glimmer of hope for them.

  13. wicket

WICKET Brown (c Ballance b Patterson 54)published at 19:32 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Lancashire 167-5 (16.2 overs) v Yorkshire

Well, I said he needed to stay there until the end, but now he's gone.

Karl Brown slaps Steven Patterson straight to Gary Ballance at point. The innings is just stuttering a little bit in the final few overs.

  14. 50 runs

Fifty for Karl Brownpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Lancashire 166-4 (16 overs) v Yorkshire

He's been a bit less destructive than his teammates, but this is a fine innings from Karl Brown.

The Lancashire batsman brings up his half-century off 36 balls and then ends Ben Coad's over with a four. You feel he needs to stay there until the end now to get the Red Rose up and beyond 200.

  15. Bears in controlpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Birmingham v Durham 49-3 (7 overs)

Three early wickets to Birmingham Bears against Durham after putting the visitors in at Edgbaston.

Phil Mustard standing firm for the Jets as they look to rebuild early on.

  16. wicket

WICKET Akmal (c Neesham b Thakor 0)published at 19:29 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Leicestershire 31-4 (5.2 overs) v Derbyshire

    It gets worse for Leicestershire.

Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal has gone without troubling the scorers from his third ball - just when they needed a big innings from the overseas star.

You can't keep that man James Neesham out of the action as he takes the catch to give Shiv Thakor his first wicket.

  17. wicket

WICKET Buttler (c Bresnan b Coad 23)published at 19:28 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Lancashire 160-4 (15.3 overs) v Yorkshire

That's really intelligent cricket from young seamer Ben Coad.

He takes all the pace off the ball and Jos Buttler mistimes his shot straight into the safe hands of Tim Bresnan.

Big, big wicket just as Buttler was beginning to tee off.

  18. 50 runs

Fifty for Jason Roy off 27 ballspublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Sussex v Surrey 63-1 (7 overs)

We're seeing some fine striking tonight from the big guns. Jason Roy goes to his half-century and has 51 out of Surrey's 63 runs.

Roy has smashed 10 fours so far.

  19. In comes Boom Boompublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Hampshire 107-5 (14 overs) v Glamorgan

    Time for Boom Boom..

Courtesy of Chris Cooke stumping Adam Wheater 11 runs short of his 50, Shahid Afridi comes to the middle for Hampshire.

It's not taken long for him to make an impact. He's yielded eight runs from his first four balls.

  20. Cruise control for Gloucestershirepublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 3 June 2016

    Gloucestershire 54-0 (6 overs) v Kent 144-7

It's now looking a different track to when Kent were batting, with Gloucestershire bringing up the 50 before the end of the power play.

Hamish Marshall, in particular, has looked mightily impressive in the Beckenham cold, stroking five boundaries in his 31 not out so far. Skipper Michael Klinger has 19 at the other end.

Kent need wickets - and quickly.
