Today is very much about in or out, which puts me in mind of the hokey cokey. So, I'd like some suggestions from you for a cricket-themed dance XI - it could be types of dance or dancers, whichever you prefer. Jake Ballet, Charleston Dagnall, Dimitri Macarena that's the kind of thing - but I'm certain you can do better.

  5. Yorkshire need Riverside recordpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 23 June 2016

"Yorkshire have been set a target of 357 to beat Durham, which would be the biggest run-chase on this ground.

"Durham declared their second innings after an hour of play this morning, with Keaton Jennings making 221 not out, the fifth-highest score by a Durham player. He also put on 82 for the ninth wicket with Chris Rushworth.

"At lunch Yorkshire are 38-0 and have 66 overs to try and get them."

  6. Northants look 'to take control'published at 13:12 British Summer Time 23 June 2016

    Sussex 178 v Northamptonshire 78-1

    Alex Winter
    BBC Radio Northampton sport

“Ben Duckett has played some marvellous innings so far this season - a mighty 282 not out last time he met Sussex - but his latest fifty has perhaps come in the most challenging circumstances.

“It’s gloomy at Arundel with the threat of drizzle in the air, the ball still fresh and a fine Sussex attack. But Duckett has played steadily for a fifty in 85 balls and seven fours.

“If they bat well here, Northants have a great chance to take control of a Championship match for the first time this season."

Well played, Ed Barnard, who hits off-spinner Wayne Madsen for four to reach a 103-ball fifty for Worcestershire. His partnership with Joe Clarke (41*) is worth 96, but they still trail by 182, having been asked to follow-on.

Warwickshire's Rikki Clarke became the fifth different bowler to find himself on a hat-trick at Old Trafford this week.

After removing centurion Haseeb Hameed and Arron Lilley in successive balls, Clarke was denied by Neil Wagner. He then bowled the Kiwi for a second ball duck!

The other bowlers to have taken two in two during this match are Lancashire's Kyle Jarvis, Tom Smith and debutant Matt Parkinson and Bears' seamer Keith Barker.

It's his second in the County Championship and he is unbeaten on 106 as Lancashire declare on 266-8, leaving Warwickshire a target of 312.

I think that's what you call an 'eventful over'!  Rikki Clarke wins an lbw decision against Lancashire centurion Haseeb Hameed, then has Arron Lilley caught behind with his next delivery. Neil Wagner denies him a hat-trick but is then bowled by the all-rounder, who now has figures of 3-34.

Lancashire are 287 ahead with two wickets remaining - but one of them is Liam Livingstone, who is still there with 87 to his name.

Good news for England fans with Ben Stokes out there fielding as 12th man at first slip following the knee injury suffered on Test duty last month. Stokes is on the field in place of Paul Collingwood, who has a fractured thumb - as confirmed by the man himself (see below).

Yorkshire need to score 357 to win, but Chris Rushworth and Graham Onions are keeping things tight for Durham.

  17. Worcestershire pair build standpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 23 June 2016

    Derbyshire 467-5 dec v Worcestershire 164 & 85-2

Derbyshire have been unable to force a second breakthrough following the earlier dismissal of Brett D'Oliveira, with Joe Clarke (32*) and Ed Barnard (25*) adding 61 in 17 overs - but the visitors still need another 218 to avoid an innings defeat.

Having surpassed his previous highest score of 91, Lancashire opener Haseeb Hameed safely negotiates the nervous 90s as two runs off Rikki Clarke take him to a 291-ball century.

What a match this is proving to be for former Bolton School pupils, with Matt Parkinson having taken a five-for in Warwickshire's first innings.

Lancashire are 274 ahead with 78 overs still possible in the final day's play - Liam Livingstone is on 77 at the other end.

  19. Durham declare at Riversidepublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 23 June 2016

    Durham 172-4 & 507-8 v Yorkshire 323

Chris Rushworth hits a boundary off Adam Lyth as Durham pass 500 for only the third time in a Championship fixture against Yorkshire (their highest was 573 at Scarborough in 2013). It's the second four in the over following a reverse sweep by Keaton Jennings.

The home side declare at the end of the next over with a lead of 356. Jennings batted for over nine and a half hours for his 225 not out and faced 418 balls. His unbroken stand with Rushworth was worth 82, with the seam bowler finishing unbeaten on 27.

Play is scheduled to start at noon on day two between Sussex and Northamptonshire but light drizzle has arrived at the ground and the covers are on. Looks like a delay is on the cards.
