England captain Alastair Cook: "I don't envisage it turning square. The odd one might on the fourth day. It's not quite as hot, so I don't think it will turn as much. It's not like Mumbai where it breaks up a lot."
Here come the Pakistan team, emerging on to the snooker-table green under warm sunshine. Misbah, whiskered, has the ball in his hand and is tossing himself some catches. The England batsmen trot down the steps to very warm applause.

England captain Alastair Cook: "When you face a player like Yasir for the first time, it's all about getting used to his action and his angles. It was disappointing to lose the wickets we did on such an unresponsive surface, but that's cricket - if it was easy, everybody could do it."

My cricketing Saturday will be spent at Birmingham Women's Hospital, keeping an eye on the scorecard and waiting to get the green light home to let myself, my wife Jackie and baby daughter Peggy home. Even at 3 days old I can see she's got an sound forward defence in her.

One other place to keep an eye today is Trafalgar Road, Southport. Lancashire v Durham. James Anderson v Ben Stokes. Another step on the road back to fitness. They get under way there at 12:00.

Dr Clare Wood: My cricketing saturday is almost over - trying to get the kids to bed whilst following the live text in Australia.

Gary Ballance has had success in the past, but I judge people in adversity. They either come out with their chest pumped out or they shrivel up and start to wonder if they belong here. Chris Woakes has shown that being positive can work and has done really well.
England captain Alastair Cook, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a mixed day yesterday, we did well to keep them to 340 and were 110-1 so to finish on 250-7 is disappointing.
"It shows why Test cricket is such a good game - you think you are doing well and then that happens. Pakistan are great at jumping on any opportunities.
"But we're still in this match - we're 80-odd runs behind and if we can get close to them and put pressure on them the third innings can often be difficult.
"Chris Woakes is the most improved international cricketer over the last three months. We've always known what he can do, it was just about helping him do it in this environment."
It looks like a belting day at Lord's. Sunshine, blue sky, some fluffy white clouds. If anything, it looks a day to be batting. I think Misbah would have been the happier skipper when he peered through the curtains this morning.

Louise Davis: At work today and grumpy about it. Relying on TMS and #bbccricket, external to keep me sane...
Matt Taylor, BBC Weather: The cloud should come and go throughout the day. It will feel humid too, which might help the swing bowlers. There's also the small chance of heavy showers and a thunderstorm later, but we're hopeful they'll pass by.
So, what do you make of it? Advantage England or Pakistan on points?
And what are you up to today? Complete this sentence: "My cricketing Saturday is..."
Extra points if your cricketing Saturday actually includes a cricketer.

Yesterday, England should just have nullified Yasir Shah. Yes, he bowled pretty well but he didn't bowl any Mike Gatting-Shane Warne deliveries. It will concern England that they come up against a bit of quality and fell well short.

And we'll have it all covered. Test Match Special is already on air - you can listen at the top of this page, on 5 live Sports Extra, or out and about on the various BBC apps.
You can also watch the highlights as they happen right here.
So that's where we begin. England 86 behind, with Woakes on 31 and Stuart Broad 11 not out.
Pakistan will have a new ball available to them in nine overs.
It's moving day at Lord's, that all-important third innings. Can Pakistan get far enough to be out of sight, or will England's tail and bowling attack set-up a comfortable fourth-innings chase?
Yep, after the efforts of Yasir Shah on Friday, not to mention English cricket's historic allergy to leg-spin, the first Test is deliciously poised.
England, in reply to Pakistan's 339, are 253-7, looking like needing Chris Woakes to get them anywhere near parity.
And in what is (even more) of a social occasion at Lord's (more champagne quaffed, meeting old pals to discuss little Archie's latest appearance for the 1st XI, louder trousers), Saturday looks set to be a humdinger.
