Misbah-ul-Haq calls heads, it comes down tails. Alastair Cook pounces on the chance to bat first on what he calls "a good cricket wicket".

It will probably carry more than it did at Lord's. The toss will be crucial with the way both teams bat. You wouldn't want to face Yasir Shah last.
TMS now on air. Skippers just wandering out for a flick.

Stephen Leatherdale: I think Rashid should definitely play. England need a spin option with more control and penetration. He needs his chance.
Simon Ainley: Why does Moeen keep getting picked?! average bowler, average batsman. We have a specialist spinner in Rashid, constantly ignored.

Earlier in the summer on the Friday of the Test you did a great job of match-making teams needing players with available players.
This week I find myself in the grim position of only having 10 (possibly 9) for an important league game. Flimwell 1st XI needs ONE player for an away game at Bidborough (near Tonbridge). A batsman would be great but frankly we're not in a position to be picky.
If you could re-run your match-making service it would be much appreciated. If it worked then possibly the best use of my license fee ever!

It's a top day in Manchester, the sun peering through some white clouds from a bright blue sky. The deck looks flatter than your driveway. A batting day. Toss not far away.

Chris Etheridge: I would go with: Cook, Hales, Root, Vince, Ballance, Stokes, Bairstow, Moeen, Woakes, Broad, Anderson.
That's James Vince, Joe Root, Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad partaking in a game of garden cricket with Vaughan Jr and some pals.
Which leads me to ask when have you ever had an impromptu game with a pro? I know plenty of you will have come across top players in club cricket, but what about a game on the beach with Jacques Kallis? Or in the beer garden with Freddie Flintoff? Or in the car park with Viv Richards?
Also, if you happen to be having a game in the garden right now, send me a pic.
And what about this pic that Michael Vaughan posted on Instagram earlier this week?

James Gulleford: It's simple to me, leave Moeen out. He's been average. Rashid the one spinner. Silly to weaken the batting by leaving Vince out!
So, how are you doing? Have you managed to cope with four whole days without Test cricket?
Now that it's back, what would you do with this England team? One spin, or two? And will it even matter if Pakistan win the toss and unleash Yasir in the fourth innings?

BBC Test Match Special
As the tweet says, Test Match Special will soon be hitting the airwaves. You can listen on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra, on Radio 4 longwave or right here by hitting the live coverage tab.
When play gets under way at 11:00, we'll have in-play highlights as they happen. It's probably not worth your time going anywhere else.
And what about the plan to combat Pakistan's own leg-spin threat, Yasir Shah?
Yasir took 10 wickets in the first Test and now finds himself rated as the number one bowler in the world.
How play him will go a long way to deciding the outcome at Old Trafford, with the answer to be revealed over the next five days.
Welcome, welcome, welcome.
While we know that Anderson is now fit (one decision made), England still have a couple ahead of them.
Does Adil Rashid come into the side as a second spinner? If he does, who misses out? We'll get the answer to that at the toss in 25 minutes or so.
Those are some of the questions facing the England cricket team.
After defeat by Pakistan in the first Test at Lord's and the "messy affair" that was James Anderson's non-selection (Alastair Cook's words, not mine), England have to get it together for the second Test at Old Trafford.
How do you decide if a fast bowler is fit enough? How do you decide how many spinners you need? How to decide on a plan to play the opposition's gun leg-break bowler?
