Alex B: Popped from my seat to visit friends on the other side of the Oval v India 2011. En route missed wickets of Mishra & Sachin.

England rugby union coach Eddie Jones on TMS: "You look at the health of cricket today, and it's pretty good - you've got good crowds for Test cricket in England and Australia. In rugby, the calendar is getting so crowded, people are being asked to play so many different games in different countries. The people in charge have got to be diligent in looking after players and fans."

M Silent: 105 overs in a day? Give each bowler a four-minute counter to bowl his over. If he fails, then one penalty run for each ball short.

Andrew Symes: 24 overs in a session? That would be 78 today. Should be bowling 15/hour. For every over missed per session, add 10 runs.

  7. Rankings update (sort of)published at 13:27 British Summer Time 11 August 2016

Remember our chat this morning about the battle for the number one Test rankings?

It's been pouring in St Lucia ahead of day three of the third Test between West Indies and India. India need to win to keep England, Pakistan and Australia at bay.

After two days, the Windies are 107-1 in reply to India's 353 all out.

Eddie Jones on being an Australian coach of the England team: Once you become a coach at international level, the time you have with that team you're 100% committed. I'll always be an Australian, but taking on this England team, which I knew had a lot of talent, so the opportunity was too good to turn down. Sometimes you may think you're being disloyal, but if you do your job with honesty and commitment people understand.

Now, Trevor Bayliss is not the only Australian to have made an impressive early impact as England coach - joining TMS for lunch is England rugby union coach Eddie Jones.

(It's clearly "bring an England coach day" at The Oval - we spotted Roy Hodgson there on TV earlier).

Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

Boycs reacts to the news that ex-England skipper and Surrey stalwart Alec Stewart advised Alastair Cook to bat this morning...

I don't think Alec Stewart knew that three of the England batsmen would play for Pakistan and give their wickets away. Vince got a good ball, the others were poor shots.

Wahab to complete the all-seam morning session, which is extended slightly as he oversteps for a no-ball - not for the first time today - while Bairstow then pulls away, pointing at someone moving behind the bowler's arm. But after guiding a full toss for four square of the wicket, he makes it through to lunch unscathed - and though they've only managed 24 overs in two hours, it's definitely been Pakistan's morning.
