  1. 44 required off 42 ballspublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 110-3 (13 overs)

This is becoming a walk in the park for Northants.

44 needed off the last seven overs. Surely their second T20 Blast title is returning to the fine town of Northampton?

  2. 6 runs

Raining boundariespublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 109-3 (12.3 overs)

Alex Wakely is getting in on the act now. The Northants skipper launches Scott Borthwick over his head for six and two balls later through mid-wicket for four.

The 100 partnership is up, the second Wakely has been involved in today.

Looks like Ireland's Niall O'Brien - who has just left Leicestershire - is still a fan of his former county...

  4. Wood being smashedpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 99-3 (12 overs)

Even Mark Wood is coming in for some punishment now.

Josh Cobb absolutely smears the England paceman, bowling at 90mph plus, to the square-leg rope.

Northants skipper Alex Wakely, who I'm not sure I've mentioned yet, then cuts him to the boundary through point.

Cobb is on 64, Wakely on 23. 55 needed off 48.

  5. Brian Lara who?published at 21:13 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 88-3 (11 overs)

Josh Cobb is middling everything now. He pummels Keaton Jennings to the cover boundary, West Indian style, as 11 come off the 11th over.

Oh, and it's raining again. Fairly heavily now. Northants are ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis par score by nine runs.

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

"You'd have to say it's Northants [to win] from here from this position. If they box cleverly and smart then I think they can do it.

"How good is Josh Cobb, though? I have played with him since I was 10 and he's going from strength to strength."

  7. 50 runs

50 for Cobb off 26 ballspublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 79-3 (10 overs)

Okay, I've seen everything now. Josh Cobb absolutely smashes Scott Borthwick and the ball flies straight over the Eric Hollies stand.

One of the biggest sixes you will ever witness and it brings up Cobb's half-century.

Six fours and three sixes. Incredible display of hitting from the 26-year-old.

  8. 86 needed off 66 ballspublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 68-3 (9 overs)

It's one-way traffic at the moment. Josh Cobb thumps Keaton Jennings for a couple of boundaries in the ninth to race to 43 off 23 balls.

Northants require 86 off the last 11 overs.

  9. 6 runs

Dropped by one of our own!published at 21:03 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 57-3 (8 overs)

I do not believe my eyes! Josh Cobb sweeps Scott Borthwick way over the mid-wicket ropes for six and Henry Moeran, of BBC Test Match Special fame, drops the catch.

The Eric Hollies stand erupts/mocks, but more importantly Cobb - a T20 winner with Leicestershire in 2011 - is batting superbly here. He's on 34.

  10. Postpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 49-3 (7 overs)

Is there anything Keaton Jennings can't do? After his stunning innings with the bat, he comes into the attack with his medium-pacers and concedes just three from it.

Just what Durham needed after the last one went for 18.

  11. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 48-3 (6.3 overs)

    Chris Woakes
England all-rounder on Test Match Special

"That was a great finish to the powerplay for Northants. They may have lost early wickets but in that final over they definitely took the impetus and they look quite good."

  12. Cobb on the chargepublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 46-3 (6 overs)

Suddenly the Northants score looks a lot better.

Josh Cobb finishes Usman Arshad's first over with a lofted boundary through the covers.

18 from it. Expensive final over of the Powerplay.

  13. 6 runs

Eight off the first ballpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 40-3 (5.2 overs)

Oh my goodness, we have an eight! Usman Arshad's first ball is a chest-high full-toss which Josh Cobb pulls over the ropes for six.

Plus the two for the no-ball and it's eight.

The free-hit is then edged to the third-man boundary. Northants are creeping back into this.

  14. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 28-3 (5 overs)

That's a much better over for Northants.

Josh Cobb drives Chris Rushworth through the covers to the boundary and then finishes the fifth over with a slap past point for another four.

    10 from it.

  15. Wheels from Woodpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 18-3 (4 overs)

Nothing on offer from Mark Wood once again. Except sheer wheels.

Just four off the over, including a wide.

Durham on top. Actually, WASP is already crowning the Jets champions. It has Northants' chances of success at 11%.

  17. Another rebuilding job for Northantspublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 14-3 (3 overs)

So, plenty of rebuilding for Northants to do here.

But don't forget they were 15-3 in the semi-final and got up to 161.

  18. wicket

WICKET Duckett (lbw b Rushworth 4)published at 20:40 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 9-3 (2.2 overs)

Oh dear, this could be over very quickly. Chris Rushworth now gets in on the act, trapping Ben Duckett lbw.

Umpires call on impact suggest the replays, but it looked out.

Northants in trouble. Deep trouble as their semi-final hero walks back.

  19. Mark Wood's matchpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 8-2 (2 overs)

We could well be hearing that once the 2016 final is complete.

Mark Wood finishes another hostile over with a wicket and a run out.

Ben Duckett carves him to the boundary, but his sheer pace is troubling everyone.

    Tino Best
Former West Indies fast bowler on Test Match Special

"I'm going to say this. Fast bowling makes people do crazy things. If that was a medium pacer no one would want to run to second slip.

"They want to get off strike and that's that is what quality quick bowling does. There's an interesting battle between Ben Duckett and Woody. It's a test of character to see if he's ready for the next step up.

"I rank players when they get to face proper international pace but when you get that quick guy at 90mph, let's see what you can do."
