  1. wicket

WICKET Levi (run out 2)published at 20:36 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 4-2 (1.2 overs)

Wow. A complete calamity at the start of this Northants innings.

Josh Cobb edges Mark Wood along the ground towards Ben Stokes at slip, Stokes parries it to Scott Borthwick who pings the ball at the stumps and Richard Levi is run out with a direct hit.

And now it's starting to rain.

  2. wicket

WICKET Rossington (c Borthwick b Wood 2)published at 20:33 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 4-1 (1.1 overs)

    Mark Wood is on fire!

The England and Durham paceman finds a bit of extra bounce with his first ball and Adam Rossington can only fend it to Scott Borthwick at slip.

    Pace. Sheer pace.

  3. Day becomes nightpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 v Northants 4-0 (1 over)

Edgbaston is now looking resplendent as the floodlights take full effect against an increasingly dark and moody sky.

But no threat of rain I'm pleased to report.

Chris Rushworth bowls an excellent first over. Just four from it.

Is Durham's total enough to bring them their first T20 triumph? Or will Northants become only the third team to lift the domestic game's T20 trophy more than once, after Leicestershire and Hampshire.

  6. Jennings comes of agepublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

Northants face a target of 154

    That man was Keaton Jennings.

While wickets tumbled around him, the opener mixed correct shots with some huge blows to make 88.

Will it be enough to give Durham their first Twenty20 title?

The Northants chase starts in seven minutes.

    Tino Best
Former West Indies fast bowler on Test Match Special

"It is a competitive total from Durham and they will take that given the atmosphere and the pitch and Northants' bowling power.

"If Durham get some early wickets and get into Northants' batsman early then you never know, I've seen funnier things happen in cricket."

  8. Northants to chase 154published at 20:21 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 153-8 (20 overs) v Northants

Durham can't quite get to 160 as Azharullah does what Azharullah does and bowls a full length to restrict the Jets to just nine off the last set of six.

But a fine effort to get there after they were 49-4 in the eighth over.

And that's down to one man...

  9. Into the final overpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 144-8 (19 overs) v Northants

So, into the last over. Azharullah to bowl it.

160 would be marvelous for Durham and their fans - who don't forget have a mammoth journey home this evening!

  10. wicket

WICKET Borthwick (c Rossington b Kleinveldt 10)published at 20:15 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 144-8 (18.5 overs) v Northants

Another one goes. Scott Borthwick has a wild swing but can only nick Rory Kleinveldt behind.

    Durham 139-6 (18 overs) v Northants

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

"[Keaton Jennings] should be proud he's come out today on Finals Day and he hit straight and accelerated Durham through that innings.

"If Durham are able to use his score in the last few wickets then they could storm to finish."

  12. wicket

WICKET Jennings (c Cobb b Kleinveldt 88)published at 20:12 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 140-7 (18.1 overs) v Northants

Oh, what a shame. We won't be seeing our first ever T20 Finals Day century.

Keaton Jennings, who deserved three figures, swipes Rory Kleinveldt into the leg-side, but straight into the hands of Josh Cobb who holds onto a simple catch.

He's given Durham something to defend though. Breathtaking innings.

  13. Highest Finals Day scorepublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 139-6 (18 overs) v Northants

    Well batted Keaton Jennings.

He now has the best score at a Finals Day, surpassing the 86 made by Gloucestershire's Craig Spearman in 2007 and Darren Maddy for Leicestershire the year before.

Just 12 needed for a century. Two overs to get them.

  14. 6 runs

AND ANOTHER!published at 20:07 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 132-6 (17 overs) v Northants

This is getting ridiculous now. But incredible to watch.

Keaton Jennings doesn't quite middle it but gets enough on the ball to send Rory Kleinveldt sailing over long on for another maximum.

He then leans back and plays him over backward point for four.

16 off the over and Jennings needs just 15 for a fantastic hundred.

  15. 6 runs

    Straight. As. An. Arrow.

Keaton Jennings is fighting a lone battle for Durham out there.

The opener pings Steven Crook back towards the sightscreen for the straightest six you will ever see.

That's three for the South African born batsman who is onto 70.

    Chris Woakes
England all-rounder on Test Match Special

"He's got a habit of taking worldies on television, has Josh Cobb. He did that down at the quarter final against Sussex when he caught Mahela Jayawardene.

"He's done it again on the big occasion here and tonight it's crucial."

  17. Fine figures for Sandersonpublished at 19:58 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 105-6 (15 overs) v Northants

Ben Sanderson finishes his spell with 3-31.

    Terrific from the Northants quick.

WICKET Pringle (c Cobb b Sanderson 2)published at 19:56 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 104-6 (14.4 overs) v Northants

You won't see a much better catch than that.

Ryan Pringle bludgeons Ben Sanderson towards cover, but Josh Cobb dives high to his left and plucks the ball out of the air.

That's T20 cricket at its best.

  19. 6 runs

Six more for Jenningspublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 103-5 (14.2 overs) v Northants

Keaton Jennings smashes his second maximum of the innings, swiping Ben Sanderson over the ropes at square leg.

Superb hitting from the 24-year-old who moves up to 61.

Super over of spin from Graeme White. He concedes just four off the 14th.

Six to go. Can Durham get to the magic 140 mark?
