    Hampshire 210-5 v Somerset

They had to wait more than 45 overs, but Somerset have Hampshire's fifth wicket at long last.

There's a slight touch of luck to it, as Ryan McLaren's shot hits Tom Abell, who then recovers to make the catch off a Jack Leach delivery.

A wicket to tell you about at the Oval as well, where Kyle Jarvis has been caught off Tom Curran to leave Lancashire 231-8 against Surrey.

    Yorkshire 250-8 v Nottinghamshire

Jack Brooks and Andy Hodd are frustrating Nottinghamshire's bowling attack at Scarborough, their 58-run stand earning the hosts a second bonus point.

Hodd has 78, almost double his previous season-best first-class score of 43.

  6. Northants on top at Worcspublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

    Northamptonshire 256-5 v Worcestershire

    Alex Winter
    BBC Radio Northampton sport

"Northamptonshire lost two early wickets in the afternoon but they weren't perturbed and put their foot down in the second hour to tea, adding over 150 runs in the 30 overs bowled.

"A fine first Championship century of the summer for Rob Keogh - who's been in good nick in the past six weeks, having contributed strongly to Northants' run to the One-Day Cup quarter-finals.

"Now they will look to take control of the day and ensure Worcestershire are made to regret the decision to bowl first - a decision one or two home supporters were questioning at tea time."

  7. Jones goespublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

    Lancashire 200-7 v Surrey

An old saying in cricket is that one wicket often brings two, and that's the case at The Oval.

Lancashire debutant Rob Jones has fallen for 25, bowled by 18-year-old Sam Curran, who now has four wickets for the innings.

The visitors have just got to 200, meaning they've picked up their first bonus point.

  8. Glos pair safely through to teapublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

    Gloucestershire 145-4 v Kent

BBC Radio Kent's Ben Watts at Bristol:

"A good session for the hosts as Phil Mustard and Hamish Marshall negotiated the session without the loss of a wicket.

"Having been 84-4 at lunch the pair added just a further 61 runs, but with the Bristol pitch often flattening out as the game progresses, keeping wickets in hand seems more important at this juncture than run rate.

"Kent captain Sam Northeast will look to keep rotating his bowlers, of which South African overseas signing Hardus Viljoen looks the sharpest, as they seek further inroads in the evening session."

  9. wicket

WICKET Clark (c Sangakkara b Meaker 56)published at 16:01 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

    Lancashire 188-6 v Surrey

    Stuart MeakerImage source, Empics

Lancashire batsman Jordan Clark reaches his half-century, but is soon after sent back to the pavilion thanks a magnificent slip catch by Kumar Sangakkara.

The former Sri Lanka batsman dives low to his right and clings on to the ball after Stuart Meaker had found the edge.

Not bad for a man who turns 39 in a couple of months.

  10. Wagg & Wallace limit Glam damage against Sussexpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

Glamorgan 252 all out v Sussex

BBC Wales' Nick Webb in Cardiff:

"Half-centuries from experienced duo Graham Wagg and Mark Wallace dragged Glamorgan to a position of some respectability after Sussex's seamers were rampant in the morning session.

"Wagg (57) and Wallace (61) counter-attacked in breezy fashion in the afternoon after Glamorgan slumped to 56-5 in the morning.

"But Sussex recent recruits David Wiese (3-52) and Jofra Archer (4-91) kept the visitors just in control of the game in a frantic session which yielded 165 runs and five wickets.

"A brief volley of late boundaries from number 11 Michael Hogan took Glamorgan to a second batting point, while Owen Morgan was left not out 32."

Leicestershire have just lost Mark Cosgrove for 71 in their promotion battle with Essex - the Foxes are now 155-5 at New Road.
