    Somerset 312-4 v Notts

Peter Trego and Lewis Gregory are leading a bit of a charmed life for Somerset. Both batsmen have been dropped in the last couple of overs.

Batting suddenly looks a lot more difficult for the hosts at Taunton.

Erm - ouch. No wonder James Hildreth was hobbling.

  3. Gubbins marathon continuespublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Middlesex 208-5 v Yorkshire

He's faced 235 deliveries and been there since ball one this morning, but Nick Gubbins looks as fresh as a daisy at Lord's.

The young opener is now unbeaten on 120. If he's there at stumps it will surely have to go down as one of the finest innings of the season.

Yorkshire are taking the new ball.

  4. wicket

WICKET Hildreth (c Read b Hutton) 135published at 16:40 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Somerset 308-4 v Notts

Both of Somerset's batting heroes are now back in the pavilion.

James Hildreth, who batted with an ankle injury and could hardly run, nicks Brett Hutton behind for 135.

His huge stand with Chris Rogers has put Somerset in a dominant position, but there is still work to do to get maximum batting bonus points and a total which is likely to win them the game.

  5. wicket

WICKET Rogers (c Mullaney b Ball) 132published at 16:32 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Somerset 302-3 v Notts

It's Somerset skipper Chris Rogers. The Australian is caught by Steven Mullaney at slip to give Jake Ball his third wicket.

A fantastic knock from the 39-year-old though which lasted 204 balls and contained 18 fours.

Peter Trego is the new man in with Somerset needing 98 off 25 overs to secure maximum batting bonus points.

  6. 50 runs

50 and out for Sean Ervinepublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Hampshire 323-5 v Durham

Hampshire are doing everything they can to try and ensure their Division One survival.

Sean Ervine is the fourth batsman to pass fifty in the innings - his fifth of the season.

But next ball the all-rounder is caught at slip by Paul Collingwood off Ryan Pringle.

There is also a big wicket at Taunton to tell you about...

  7. 200 up for Middlesexpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Middlesex 200-5 v Yorkshire

There are nice, round figures everywhere! Middlesex bring up their 200 and first batting bonus point.

Nick Gubbins now looks entrenched. The opener is 114 not out off 215 balls.

And he's been there for exactly 300 minutes! This is getting spooky now.

    Somerset 300-2 v Notts

James Hildreth and Chris Rogers continue on their merry way at Taunton as they bring up a third-wicket partnership record against Notts.

Their 267 surpasses Richard Harden and Chris Tavare's 265 in 1992 at the same ground.

  9. 300 up for Hampshirepublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Hampshire 301-4 v Durham

Talking of batting bonus points Hampshire now have three to their name. Sean Ervine, who is in the form of his life with the bat is up to 44 and the hosts are in the driving seat at the Ageas Bowl.

Tight at the top, tight at the bottom, good this county cricket lark int it?

  10. Batting bonus point for Bearspublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Warwickshire 203-8 v Lancashire

Every point counts in this relegation fight - and Warwickshire finally have one to their name.

Jeetan Patel smacks Luke Procter to the boundary three times in an over to take Warwickshire past 200.

    Leicestershire 96 v Glamorgan 152-6

BBC Wales' Nick Webb at Grace Road:

"A remarkable game continues at helter-skelter rate at Grace Road with Glamorgan 56 ahead by tea, but with only four wickets left.

"Teenagers Aneurin Donald and Kiran Carlson put on 61 for the fourth wicket inside nine overs, only for Neil Dexter to wobble the ball around and claim three quick wickets with his medium-pace.

"Earlier Timm van der Gugten claimed county best figures of five for 52, as Leicestershire were bundled out before lunch.

"Carlson is still there on the game's top score of 44, but Glamorgan need a lead of at least 100 to take much advantage out of the day."

  12. Another wicket at Warwickshirepublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Warwickshire 190-8 v Lancashire

It's not getting any better for Warwickshire. Keith Barker is bowled by Jordan Clark for a duck, who now has figures of 3-20.

Can the Bears scrape another 10 runs to get a batting bonus point?

  14. wicket

WICKET Hain (lbw b Procter) 52published at 16:05 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Warwickshire 187-7 v Lancashire

Warwickshire's stuttering innings continues at Edgbaston. Sam Hain is the latest to go, lbw to Luke Procter.

The bad news from the Ageas Bowl for Bears fans is that Hampshire look like making a big first-innings total against Durham.

Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel are at the crease in Birmingham.

  15. 100 runs

100 for Nick Gubbinspublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Middlesex 179-5 v Yorkshire

And it's gone to Nick Gubbins! The Middlesex opener brings it up in style, swatting Ryan Sidebottom over the square leg boundary for six.

It's surely one of the toughest centuries he will ever make. Huge pressure, fine bowling attack, muggy, overcast conditions at Lord's.

His job is only half done though - Middlesex are still in a vulnerable position.

  16. 100 runs

100 for James Hildrethpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Somerset 260-2 v Notts

What an innings by Somerset batsman James Hildreth. After being struck on the ankle early in his innings, the 32-year-old has nurdled his way to a superb century.

It came off 199 balls with 11 fours and one maximum.

Meanwhile, there's another hundred to tell you about at Lord's...

  17. Not outpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Middlesex 169-5 v Yorkshire

HUGE appeal from Ryan Sidebottom in his first over after tea.

The wiry-haired seamer thinks he has Nick Gubbins caught down the leg-side, but it's given not out.

Hmm, snicko suggests there may have been a tiny nick on that one. You can see why the umpire turned it down though - it really was the faintest of edges.

Thomas Broadley: Middlesex V Yorkshire will be a cracker later on in the game. Somerset will win so both teams will have to win the game.

  19. wicket

WICKET Vince (run out) 92published at 15:51 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Hampshire 275-4 v Durham

Oh, another twist at the Ageas Bowl. Hampshire skipper James Vince is run out by Ben Stokes for 92.

That's a massive blow to Hampshire's survival hopes.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Sam Hainpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 20 September 2016

    Warwickshire 178-6 v Lancashire

21-year-old Sam Hain is fighting a bit of a lone battle for Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

The youngster reaches only his second half-century of the summer as the Bears creep towards their first batting bonus point.

But Warwickshire bat deep. And it's a lower order which has got them out of trouble plenty of times in the past!
