  • Series now level at 2-2

  1. Eng 99-1published at 21 overs

    Winfield 32, Knight 4

Knight takes guard against Fletcher, who has a slip in. The skipper threads the needle, squeezing the ball between three cover fielders and Deandra Dottin just pulls the ball back inside the rope on the point boundary. (Had this game had full third-umpire coverage, they might have had a look to see if her arm was touching the rope when it flicked the ball back - but they've taken the fielder's word for it). They run two - while a single then takes the captain to four.

Simon: Ice hockey's Wayne Gretzky. Still holds 61 NHL records, season MVP eight times in a row, just a few of his achievements, Legend!

Kevin H: Surely that is the first time Phil Taylor and Rodger Federer have been in the same sentence?

    RSB: Steve Waugh. End of.

Happy Duck: The claims that Phil Taylor is our greatest champ are rubbish, won all his titles in non-drinking era.

Callum Helmer: Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis or Brian Lara.

Captain Heather Knight in at three for England, having made that change in the batting order to move Georgia Elwiss down to six.

Knight - also captain of Berkshire, Western Storm and Hobart Hurricanes, let's not forget - is off the mark as she guides a single off her legs.

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "Tammy was just looking to work that one, it got stuck in the pitch and looped back to Stafanie Taylor."

    Beaumont c & b Taylor 57 (Eng 95-1)

Gone! Tammy Beaumont's entertaining innings ends as she pops a return catch back to Stafanie Taylor - but the bowler tangles with Lauren Winfield while taking the catch, and she may have taken a blow on the shin - hoisting her trouser-leg up to the knee to give the affected area a rub. No need for the Bedford Rascal ambulance this time, though.

  6. Eng 95-0published at 19 overs

West Indies are trying to strangle England with spin, but Beaumont carefully lap-sweeps her, there's no fielder in that region so keeper Merissa Aguilleira (and her giant white gloves) has to give chase, and England manage to run two. A single ensures Beaumont takes the strike - she has 57, Winfield has 34.

  9. Eng 91-0 (target 224)published at 18 overs

Post-drinks, Stafanie Taylor takes the ball herself as the Windies look to break this partnership. Winfield adds a single, while Beaumont - her fifty came with eight fours and a six, by the way - gives Taylor the charge but then has to jam her bat down on a fuller derlivery.

  10. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 16 October 2016

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "The longer that Tammy and Lauren can keep this partnership going, the more the noise will build up and that can affect the West Indies players."

The day-night Test between West Indies' men and Pakistan is set up for a thrilling final day after 16 wickets fell on day four in Dubai.

Resuming on 315-6 in reply to Pakistan's 579-3 declared, West Indies were bowled out for 357 with Yasir Shah taking 5-121.

Pakistan, leading by 222, did not enforce the follow-on and were skittled for 123 in 31.5 overs with leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo claiming a superb 8-43, his best figures in Tests.

Chasing 346 to win, Windies reached 95-2 at the close of an extraordinary day.

Drinks breakpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 16 October 2016

Shaquana Quintyne and Britney Cooper, who may have been fielding in the deep, have hitched a ride on the golf buggy that brings the drinks on as they join the Windies huddle.

Perhaps the team could do with one of those "fire and brimstone" team talks that Sir Curtly Ambrose gave the Windies men's team during England's Test tour there last year?

  13. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 16 October 2016

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "It's been a fantastic start. We talk about these moments that bring out the characters. There would have been a few disappointed people in the dressing room in the interval but we kept up the energy and the mood and they've been able to take that out onto the pitch."

No fireworks from Fletcher's fourth over, but England keep the scoreboard ticking with three singles and these two are closing in on a century stand as the drinks are brought on.

Beaumont reaches 50 from 52 balls with another well-timed steer through the covers. There's a brief handshake between the England batters - but very much the body language is that this job is not done yet.
