Very good start from England, despite the loss of that wicket. It's all about chipping away at that target, taking the singles when they're there, That will put the West Indies bowlers under pressure, and the bad balls will come.

  2. Eng 39-1published at 9 overs

Dottin looking to do more damage, Beaumont on her toes and punching through square for two. The England opener is such a well organised player, everything in sync.

Dottin goes wide of the crease and the angle beats everyone down leg side, donating two wides to the England total.

Heather Knight off the mark with two through mid-wicket as Dottin strays to leg again.

That's her favoured option, coming down the ground. She tried sweeping but missed a couple of them - and has now chipped to mid-wicket.

She didn't look comfortable throughout the innings against the off-spinner. The West Indies plan has claimed a wicket.

    Winfield c King b Matthews 12 (Eng 33-1)

Lovely golf swing from Beaumont off Matthews - smooth follow-through as the ball flies down to long-on for another boundary.

Not so clever from Winfield who chips straight to Stacy Ann-King at short mid-wicket. The breakthrough West Indies needed. Captain Heather Knight the new batter...

I've seen Tammy Beaumont play a lot at Kent - she's happy to play the sweep shot against the spinners, and happy to use her feet. She's a very bubbly character, likes being involved in everything and just loves scoring runs - whether she's playing for England or playing in a charity match. I think that's the sort of approach Charlotte Edwards always had, and it's rubbed off on Tammy.

First change for the West Indies. Connell off and The Dangerous Deandra Dottin on. It feels like West Indies are in real need of a breakthrough already. These seem to be the easiest batting conditions we've seen for the side batting second in this series.

Winfield, with her incredibly high backlift, takes advantage of the fielding restrictions by smacking over the off-side fielders for four more.

Tammy Beaumont takes frightful abuse from the England coaching staff for the size of her feet, which are tiny - about size three and a half. She brags about how she can get shoes from the children's section, but has trouble finding spikes. But she's got a background as a gymnast, and has very powerful arms.

  10. Eng 24-0published at 6 overs

Lots of twos on offer here as Beaumont picks up a brace of them off Matthews. Tammy, neat and compact, looking good.

I can only think that Mohammed didn't pick it up. But from Dottin's reaction, I think it was very much in Mohammed's area. Perhaps Mohammed's one of their weaker fielders.

  12. Eng 20-0published at 5 overs

A couple to Tammy Beaumont off Connell into the leg side, and then a couple more as she forces off the back foot and two diving West Indies fielders can't stop it.

Beaumont than goes in the air through square and Deandra Dottin and Anisa Mohammed leave it to each other. Dottin isn't happy and thinks Mohammed could have got that.

Next ball and Mohammed is absolutely hapless there, allowing the ball go through her for a single. Dottin fuming, flashing a dirty look at her team-mate.

When Mark Robinson and I were trying to do that interview yesterday, Tammy Beaumont was by the pool, intently reading Graeme Fowler's book. It was a big hardback, almost as big as Tammy herself.

  14. Eng 11-0published at 4 overs

Hayley Matthews continues, wearing her baseball cap again. Big appeal for lbw against Winfield. Nothing doing but I think she might have been a touch lucky there - seemed to be heading towards the leg stump.

Winfield then tries to turn to leg and that drops just short of Stafanie Taylor at short mid-wicket. A couple of heart-flutters there.

Merissa Aguilleira looks an awkward wicketkeeper, I'm not sure it comes particularly naturally to her.

As we've seen with West Indies all series, when things go against them they can quite easily drop their heads, so it's important these two start with a good partnership.

  17. Eng 10-0published at 3 overs

Lauren Winfield showing her intent, pulling Connell from chest high - two or three bounces and that's the first boundary.

Winfield than has a swipe at a wide one but doesn't connect. The two England openers have a chat mid-over. No dramas so far and a solid start.

Good intent from Lauren Winfield early on, getting her sweep shot out. That's important when teams try tactics like this.

  19. Eng 5-0published at 2 overs

Interesting from West Indies. Off-spinner Hayley Matthews, who took two wickets in the fourth ODI on Sunday, is into the attack at the start.

Plenty of debate about the field. Matthews requests and gets a slip.

Beaumont is also off the mark with a single while Winfield adds a couple with a sweep from outside off.

  20. Eng 1-0 (target 156)published at 1 over

Winfield off the mark with a bottom edge that squirms through the sole slip. Plenty of bounce from Connell.

Bright sunshine now and blue skies above. It looks like we're set fair. One off that first over for England.
