  1. Eng 118-3published at 30 overs

    Sciver 34, Wyatt 6

Taylor shuffles her field for Quintyne's brand of leg-spin, off-spin and other bits and pieces - she starts with a long-hop but Wyatt can't get it away. But England are happy to keep taking ones and twos... when they need 38 more from 120 balls.

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "What we've seen from both teams is the threat of the ball turning across the right-handed batters."

  3. Eng 115-3 (target 156)published at 29 overs

Danielle Wyatt is the new batter - and she's off the mark with a solid sweep for two, though Sciver has to be quick to beat Stacy-Ann King's fierce throw from the deep. A delicate dab to third man for one, by contrast, brings a ragged throw from Britney Cooper which nearly earns England an overthrow. Fletcher has 2-19 from eight. England will be happy she can only bowl 12 more deliveries.

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "Heather has done a lot of the hard work and that's why she'll show her frustration and disappointment. West Indies getting together and know this may be their one chance to get back into this game. Afy Fletcher looking very much like the danger bowler at the moment."

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 28.1 overs

    Knight c Aguilleira b Fletcher 29 (Eng 112-3)

Afy Fletcher strikes with the first ball of her eighth over - captain Heather Knight attempts a late cut and feathers the thinnest of edges through to keeper Merissa Aguilleira. Do West Indies have a glimmer?

  6. Eng 112-2 (target 156)published at 28 overs

Shaquana Quintyne is West Indies' seventh bowler as Taylor rolls the dice once more - but it's "steady as you go" from England - this stand is now already worth more than 50. Quintyne is lucky not to be called for a legside wide - so just two singles off the over.

  8. dropped catch

    CLOSE!published at 27 overs

    Eng 110-2

Another change of bowling - after an over each from Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin at the Michael Holding End, captain Taylor turns back to leg-spinner Afy Fletcher who put the brakes on earlier. And she almost makes an immediate impact as Sciver chips the ball over mid-wicket... and agonisingly just over the outstretched leap of Matthews.

England keep chipping away at the target - as was said earlier, if they bat the overs, they'll win this. 46 needed from 23 overs.

Why did you, Mark Robinson and Ali Maiden walk out to the middle at the interval?

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "We were trying to look at every detail - work out which roller to use."

  10. Eng 105-2 (target 156)published at 26 overs

Thanks, Alan. ("Safe hands"? He's clearly never seen me field). The pressure's still on England - but it's eased a little with these last two or three overs. Confident, low-risk accumulation surely the way to go. Sciver's shown "plenty of intent" according to James Kirtley on TMS, and her captain has played a solid innings.

A rare moment of hesitation as Sciver plays and misses at Taylor, though keeper Merissa Aguilleira didn't take it cleanly anyway. Knight steerss a four wide of mid-on, advancing before unleashing a whippy on-drive. Sub fielder Sophie Ecclestone rushes on - not with a Mr Whippy (which might be welcome in such hot conditions) but with a speedy between-overs drink for the England pair.

  11. Eng 99-2published at 25 overs

Dangerous Deandra is brought back after Hayley Matthews came back on and conceded 10. How Windies need a wicket now.

Knight clips off her legs for two, while a full toss offers an easy one. Sciver then sweeps for another boundary. They're flowing from the bat and England are taking the game away from the West Indies as we reach the halfway point of the innings.

To see them home (hopefully), I'll leave you in the always safe hands of Mark Mitchener.

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "The risk/reward was so much in Natalie's favour there. We know she's got the power to clear the infield, and the shot was played with such precision - just a couple of bounces into the rope."

  13. Eng 91-2 (target 156)published at 24 overs

Is this another four? No, Dottin gets across on the leg-side boundary after Sciver pulled a short one from aylor.

This is four though - Sciver hits with the spin towards cow corner and that was a wonderful, orthodox short. The runs required is diminishing quickly all of a sudden. It's down to 65.

  14. Postpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 19 October 2016

So, James, how are your nerves right now?

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "I'm far better watching the batters than I am the bowlers. I always preferred bowling first in one-day cricket - sitting, watching a chase, became quite normal."

  15. Eng 83-2 (target 156)published at 23 overs

Hayley Matthews comes back and Heather Knight gets after her straight away, high down to a wide long-on. One bounce and another four. Sciver also takes the aerial route and this one is lovely fade that swings from leg side and finishes straight back past the bowler for four more.

Excellent from England, very positive as 10 is plundered from Matthews' over. They need 73 more.

  16. Eng 73-2published at 22 overs

Taylor not hanging around and racing through her over. Sciver backs away from the crease to break the skipper's rhythm. The tactic seems to work as Taylor drops a little short and Sciver can force through the on-side for a welcome boundary.

  17. Eng 69-2published at 21 overs

Nat Sciver making good progress here, she's moved to 10 very efficiently as Fletcher reverts to type and only concedes one from her sixth over.

  19. Eng 68-2published at 20 overs

Stafanie Taylor trying to make something happen for her team, Heather Knight sweeping to add one for her's. More sweepage from Sciver and that's two more.

Sciver plays down the ground for one more to finish the over. Four off it.

  20. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 19 October 2016

England bowling coach James Kirtley on TMS: "[Assistant coach] Ali Maiden watches the batters, so the opportunity for me to come up here is when we're batting - it works quite well that way."
