Eng 88-4published at 32 overs
Mehedi is still turning the occasional delivery dramatically but he can't pitch a magical one in the right spot on this occasion. Two whole overs without a review, I can't get used to this.
Debutant Mehedi, 18, takes five wickets
Moeen top-scorer with 68 off 170 balls

Flemming Jensen: You have go to be kidding me....after all that, Root is the one to go. Collapse in the offing?
Sean Lewis: Trial by spin.
Thomas Measures: If only England had a batman who, may not score quickly, but could bat time. Wonder where we could him from? #Haseeb, external
Moeen 18, Stokes 3
Stokes is not going to go into his shell it would appear, he's got the sweep out already and continues to collect the singles off the slow left-arm of Shakib. One of the few overs not to trouble the batsmen.
Mehedi 3-16 off 11
Ben Stokes is the new man and there are two slips amongst the array of fielders around the bat, but the all-rounder is confidently away first ball with a single.

Joe Root had looked so composed. It didn't turn and just took the outside edge and ballooned up off the thigh of the wicketkeeper. That is a huge wicket. He is the most coveted wicket once Cook is out. This is not Ben Stokes' ideal situation. He likes the ball coming on. He is a better player when he doesn't have to think.
Root c Sabbir b Mehedi 40 (Eng 83-4)
Teenage spinner Mehedi, star of the morning session, claims the key wicket. An outside edge thuds into the thigh of wicketkeeper Mushfiqur and is pouched by Sabbir at slip. The two debutants combining to dismiss the one England batsman who had been in control.

Sam Roberts: This cricket is getting ridiculous. Two lbw shouts. Two reviews. Two overturns. And that's just in the first over since lunch.

Has any other batsmen in the history of the game been given out three times by the umpire and reprieved on review each time?
So, just a maiden in effect. It took eight minutes mind you.
Yet again Moeen survives. He should buy a lottery ticket. The replays show the ball was striking him outside the line of off stump and umpire Dharmasena bashfully has to overturn the decision. The end of the fifth review of the match so far.
Extraordinary. But this could be out. Missing a sweep, struck in front. Given out again. Let's look at the evidence.
Moeen is living a charmed life, after an agonising delay the ball-tracking finally kicks into life to reveal the ball was spinning wide of leg-stump.
Well we could have a wicket in the first over. Shakib has trapped Moeen on the front foot and it has been given lbw but Moeen has reviewed again.
The sun is still beating down from a cloudless sky and there are some noticeable cracks in the wicket already. Let's see how the England batsmen fare in this session. It will be the slow left-arm of Shakib to resume.

Samit Patel wasn't selected for this tour, despite figuring prominently in previous trips to Asia, and he's told the BBC's Asian Network that the tourists are favourites to win the two-Test series.
“Having been on England tours before, preparation is second to none," he said. "I’m sure the boys can’t wait to get the first Test up and running.
“It’ll be a challenge for them. Bangladesh in Bangladesh are a strong unit. But I think England are fully equipped."

Just a quick shout-out to my local club Pudsey St Lawrence, who are travelling to Abu Dhabi at the end of this week, external to compete against Wakefield Thornes to be Yorkshire's top club.
As you can imagine, the price of a beer out in the UAE has not gone down well. And I'll be surprised if they can find a passable pint of mild anywhere.
They're taking 14 players out there (plus a handful of rabid fans). It'll be a miracle if they come back with a full squad. Just makes more room on the flight back for a trophy!
