That was a snorter. It blew up and Bairstow took it almost in front of first slip. It was an absolute brute.

How the hell do you play that?! Broad digs one in short that looks to be going down leg but pops and cuts across Sabbir and past his nose.

I can see a lot of anxious faces. This is the biggest crowd of the match by miles. They've come out to see what they hoped would be history.

Keith Bunting: an hour ago, I was thinking Broad should be left out of next match as he had done nothing here. Big slice of humble pie please.
MMulla: I think the defining moment in this game was the rush of blood Shakib had in the first innings, it's England's to lose now.

To either, that would have been fine, but it went through Stokes to his right and Root couldn't get to his left in time.

Sabbir is doing a terrible job of protecting Taijul. He's faced the majority of deliveries since he came out. He takes a big chance to Batty, sending the ball high and just over the retreating Moeen at mid-off. He then edges between slip and gully for two more runs.

Ex-England batter on Test Match Special
This Test has swung so many different ways today. This morning, you felt England would dominate, then Bangladesh came out on the attack. It has swung back and forth. England are in the driving seat but, with Sabbir there, there's still hope.

It gets to everyone - even an old campaigner like Andrew.

Taijul is left to face Broad now after Sabbir's early single. He is almost in square leg's lap after three balls. He does manage to inside edge himself off strike.
The tension is too much for the TMS crew. Andrew Samson has just dropped his tea on his laptop. Even the best pros are crumbling in these circumstances!
Eight overs left today.

The crowd is going nowhere. It was a very expectant crowd half an hour ago - maybe less so now.
47 runs required
Sabbir does Taijul no favours with a first-ball single, leaving him with five balls of Stokes, who stands at the end of his run licking his lips. The batsman backs away, he prods, he pokes, he cowers, but he survives as Stokes fail to bowl at the sticks.
48 runs required
Taijul is in with the game having swung hugely in England's favour. His main job now is to get off strike every time.

I really thought Bangladesh were in the box seat 25 minutes ago. As long as Sabbir is there that is a danger for England, but they have an end to bowl at.
Kamrul c Ballance b Broad 0 (Ban 238-8)
Kamrul is gone! A full ball from Broad, reverses in and slams into his pad before looping up for Ballance to catch. Initially, it could be either lbw or caught, but Ultraedge shows it was the latter courtesy of an edge. England are all over Bangladesh like a rash.
Broad is screaming at the umpire to raise his finger. It is another reversing ball that swings in to Sabbir's pad. No movement from the official. I reckon it was going down.

Colin: How good is this test match. A proper test, thrilling.
Russell Woolley: Cricket - the only sport where a low-scoring match is more exciting?
Josh Arbon: Such a classic performance from England. Tried to throw it away a few times, but in the end could still get out of jail.
49 runs required
Chaos. Sabbir and Kamrul get in a real mess as the latter charges down the track from the non-striker's end in pursuit of a quick single that was never there off the returning Stokes. The bowler gathers the ball and Kamrul has to desperately get his way back.
Stokes cleaned up the tail in the first innings so it is no surprise to see him straight back on now. He is within an inch of another wicket as Kamrul leaves to a reversing ball that fizzes past off stump.

There's a lot on Sabbir's shoulders now, but he's such an expansive player. There's going to be so much happening in the next 30 minutes.
52 runs required
Kamrul is the new man and he is beaten outside off from his first ball.
