We're into the 22nd over of seam in the innings, and they've conceded only 35 runs.

A wicket now would swing this back in England's favour. But where is that wicket coming from? The small collection of England fans watch on nervously from high up in one of the stands. Mushfiqur is firmly behind everything Broad can muster.

What Cook would like to do is bowl a left-arm spinner. But he hasn't got one available! You'd have to make Bangladesh favourites for victory now.

Ebnul Karim: Bangladesh no need to hurry, it's test cricket, bad ball will come as well as run, just need to stay on creeze...

Stoney: it's situations like this that show up the weaknesses in Captain Cook. He doesn't know how to make things happen. He just waits.

Samiul Islam Sami: still can't believe we are going to beat mighty England. Hope our little magician Mushfiq will carry us on...

Cook is frightened to bowl his off-spinners to the right-handers - especially to Sabbir, who hit a couple of sixes. That has put a lot of pressure on Rashid.

  7. Ban 206-5published at 64 overs

    80 runs required

There are a lot of frustrated faces out there in the field. Rashid burns through another over but there is no real threat. Bangladesh happy to wait patiently.

Bairstow has dropped what could be a crucial catch. It wasn't an easy chance, but he should have caught it. He got his hand to it.

    Ban 204-5

Broad has his head in his hands after rolling his fingers over a ball that nips away and beats Mushfiqur.

He then sticks his hands on his knees as a diving Bairstow drops one down leg side that Mushfiqur flicked with his bat. That could be very, very costly. It went in to the gloves and popped out again.

There's more and more people coming down to the ground now. I've just seen a young boy running in with incredible enthusiasm. We're next door to Bangladeshi radio, and there's some tension in there.

  11. Ban 202-5published at 62 overs

    84 runs required

Rashid is posing a real challenge to Sabbir with the ball moving away. He beats him first ball then draws too unconvincing attempted sweeps, neither of which connect. Two singles added from the remainder of the over.

The sun sets in these parts at 5:21pm, which is 12:21pm BST time. There are 22 overs of play left.

Mushfiqur is a small man but his bat looks so broad. There's just no way past it.

Hugo Walford: I'm sorry to say it, but Broad has looked completely ineffective on this pitch, surely a fourth spinner for the next test.

Adam Jones: England v Iceland in the football, or England v Bangladesh in the cricket. Which is worse?

  14. Ban 200-5published at 61 overs

    Sabbir 33, Mushfiqur 28

England are chopping and changing, desperately looking for a way to break this pair. Stuart Broad is the latest to have a go but Mushfiqur is happy to let the ball pass harmlessly by off stump.

These batsmen now know they can do this. When they came together, I'm not sure they believed. Suddenly, it's getting a little easier.

Bangladesh just can't get out. They don't need to score the runs today - they've got tomorrow.

It is not long before Cook has to take himself out of slip and into the outfield to save singles. The pitch still has a few demons in it, with a short ball from Rashid staying very low, making Sabbir's intended pull look very ugly. The 200 is up for the home side. Huge cheers from the ever-increasing crowd.

Jack Mendel: We've got three average spinners. Moeen's bowled OK. Batty ineffective and Rashid uncontrolled. We should have picked best bowlers.

Sean Bulpitt: Ordinary cricket from England today. No pressure built and this game slipping away now.

Andrew Benton:  I fear Bangladesh will settle down now, play safe, and go on to win......100 or so lead really isn't much for England.

  19. Ban 194-5published at 59 overs

    92 runs required

Bairstow and Cook conduct a little conference behind the stumps before awaiting Woakes, who is charging in and finding a good length to keep Bangladesh in check but isn't threatening to take the wickets England need.

I'd love to see Shane Warne bowl on here. I think he'd have been unplayable.
