    Stokes c Holder b Bishoo 55 (Eng 239-5)

Sadly, we won't be seeing Stokes with the bat for any longer. He connects well enough off Bishoo but his flat shot is straight down the throat of Jason Holder at long-on.

Ben Stokes is a thinking cricketer. He's worked the conditions and it's been a joy to watch.

  3. Eng 235-4published at 44 overs

That is big from Ben Stokes! Gabriel steams in and Ben Stokes whacks him over deep square leg for a massive six. The England all-rounder was smiling before the ball had even reached the stands.

He tries the same shot again but doesn't quite connect - it does bring up his 50 though, off 56 balls - very impressive on this outfield and in this situation.

He can then only get a single from a full toss, feels like he's missed out but it is signalled a free hit for being over waist height. Morgan is the reciepient of the free-hit and he certainly makes the most of it - six straight down the ground.

Huge over. 20 runs. 50 for Stokes. 100 partnership up.

Chris Watkins: Cannot understand why Morgan gets so much stick. So dependable and a great ODI player and captain.

You are enjoying a beer AT work, Matt? You work in a pub or have a very understanding boss?

    Morgan 78, Stokes 40

Bob on from Jason Holder as he starts the 43rd over with two dot balls to Stokes. The England all-rounder then heaves muscularly into the offside but can only pick up a single. Then another dot to Morgan. This is really clever bowling, a slower ball restricting the England skipper to one. Just three from Holder's eighth over - he has 0-35.

I thought that was a pretty ordinary effort from the fielder. He didn't even look back to see how close he was to the boundary rope. He was so casual about it.

  7. Eng 212-4published at 42 overs

The impressive Shannon Gabriel comes back into the attack. Not a great start as his first ball clips the England captain's pads and goes down the leg-side for four leg byes.

Ben Stokes then has his heart in his mouth for a moment as he smashes it over to the leg side but it is high, high and wide - Kraigg Braithwaite on the boundary but his foot is over the rope. He dropped it anyway. Should he have caught it? Or at least thrown it back onto the outfield to stop the six?

  9. Eng 199-4published at 41 overs

Is that Stokes six the cue for England to go into destruction mode? Bishoo's back on after his first three overs went for 25 but the leg-spinner's more accurate here after struggling with his line and length earlier. He restricts Morgan and Stokes to just three off that over.

Ben Stokes is such a dangerous player. When he's on song and playing well he is such a destructive player. He can really get the total to move along in a fast fashion. Up until that point, Jason Mohammed was having a good spell. This could be a sign of things to come for the last 10 overs.

  11. 6 runs

    Eng 196-4published at 40 overs

It's caught ... by someone in the crowd. There's the intent from Ben Stokes as he lofts Jason Mohammed's last ball of the over for a big six. Mohammed has bowled very well today, he's restricted the England batters but that was lovely from Stokes. Into the last 10.

  12. Eng 187-4published at 39 overs

Some solid batting from England but no big'ens as Stokes and Morgan rotate the strike with ones and twos  It's been a while since a boundary. Six from the over.

  13. Eng 181-4published at 38 overs

Lifeline for Morgan! He charges down the wicket and takes an almighty swing - he misses it completely but Hope can't take it behind the wicket. A missed stumping - how many runs could that cost the Windies?

But Mohammed races through that over, just two off it.

Stokes dances down the wicket but Carlos Brathwaite sees him coming and bangs it in short for a dot ball.

A gentleman-like shake of the hands between the England pair as they bring up their fifty partnership off 65 balls, but just three from the over.

More people start pouring into the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium as the working day draws to an end in Antigua.

Morgan deals with a short ball from Jason Mohammed by dragging it over to the leg-side and past mid-wicket for four. He's played a few shots like that today.

Seven off the over. You get the feeling these two may see it to 40 overs before trying to up the pace.

  16. Eng 169-4published at 35 overs

    Morgan 61, Stokes 16

It's becalmed at the moment, in the field and in the stands. England accumulating with few risks and West Indies not allowing them to get away. Five off the returning Carlos Brathwaite's sixth over - his figures are 0-25.

  17. Eng 164-4published at 34 overs

Rapid running from Ben Stokes who flicks the wrists and picks up two off Jason Mohammed. But a really good start from the 30-year-old off-spinner who is playing in only his third ODI - the previous two being in 2011 and 2015. Just seven from his first two overs.

England do bat so deep - arguably they're one of the teams on the circuit that bat genuinely down to number 11. You feel with this platform, if England continue, Stokes will open up and Morgan will look for those angles and capitalise at the back end of the innings.

Drinks break - Eng 159-4published at 33 overs

    Run-rate 4.78

Morgan's pulled well today and does so again here, although the ball flies off the middle of the bat through Ben Stokes' legs and down the ground for the skipper's eighth boundary. Unorthodox but effective. Mind you, is anything unorthodox in limited-overs cricket these days? A straight bat from Stokes goes through the same area and Brathwaite dives to keep it to two. Time for drinks. It's intriguingly poised, very even.

You feel 250 is a minimum here. If they can continue with someone like Morgan, stretch it to 270, that would be a very good score on this. The West Indies will get the best batting out of it now the pitch has dried up from this morning's rain. I think Morgan is key.
