  1. WI 44-2published at 12 overs

    Brathwaite 11, Hope 16

Ah, here's Ben Stokes! Conspicuous by his absence in the first ODI. Shai Hope swings and misses at his first delivery, but he moves sweetly onto the back foot to drive for a couple. Such a elegant looking shot, when it goes the right way. The clouds are starting to thicken overhead but, fingers crossed, there's no rain on the way today.

  2. WI 40-2published at 11 overs

A good length from Liam Plunkett, who bustles through his run up before straying a little too straight. The batsmen trade singles but there's no width from Plunkett for them to play with.

Steven Finn will take a bow, after a tidy morning's work which have brought figures of 5-1-25-2. Here's Liam Plunkett.

    Woakes 5-1-10-0

Chris Woakes carries on his Ebeneezer Scrooge impression. He's giving nothing away for free. That's not great, though - a short ball that doesn't get up and Kraigg Brathwaite times his hoick beautifully, away through the field for four. Woakes responds with a better ball that stays low, and Brathwaite just stops it from trickling onto his stumps.

Finn isn't consistent enough. He's bowled some brilliant balls but he doesn't hold that pressure together.

  7. WI 31-2published at 9 overs

A grin from Ben Stokes as tries to pull off a sliding stop, misses and ends up looking a bit daft. There's a sea of school children watching on from the stands and they put their inflatable noise makers to use as Steven Finn drops too short and Shai Hope carves it through the covers for four.

  8. Fastest England bowlers to 100 ODI wicketspublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2017

Finn's in some decent company - he's the third fastest bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets.

    Brathwaite 5, Hope 1

Ooh, Joe Root comes close to dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite with a leap at gully. He almost manages to get a hand on it but he has to settle for taking the pace off it instead, and let Adil Rashid do the tidying up. Chris Woakes applauds his effort as he wheels his way through another miserly over.

  10. WI 21-2published at 7 overs

    Finn 4-1-17-2

A wicket-maiden for Steven Finn, after he greets new man Shai Hope to the crease with a short ball that raps him on the gloves.

It wasn't that short of a delivery and Powell was in no position to play the hook short. Well done Steven Finn.

Finn has come back well from a loose first over, but Chris Woakes has dried up the runs at the other end. Mind you, that's not great technique from Kieran Powell; Finn banged it in and he got himself into a muddle trying to hook it over the rope.

100 ODI wickets for Steven Finn! A poor shot from Kieran Powell, on the hook, and the ball just spooned up into the air. Finn darted forward and gratefully snaffled the catch.

Mark W: I believe Alastair Cook can play the sax? KP would make a great temperamental singer in any case.

Jason Truman: Stokes and Woakes can be the new Hoddle and Waddle - instead of Northern Lights, how about Wickets Under the Floodlights?

The Oval Pigeon: I can see Tuffers in a Bez-type role.

  15. WI 21-1published at 6 overs

A model of consistency, is Chris Woakes. Just a couple from the over, Woakes offering no room for the batsmen to swing their arms. He's conceded just four runs from his first three overs.

It was a half volley and that is the second successive over that Finn has been hit for a boundary off the last delivery. It's poor bowling. Once you get to five deliveries you want to make sure the last ball doesn't go for a boundary.

    Brathwaite 3, Powell 8

Glorious sunshine overhead in Antigua as Steven Finn steams in, while in Salford there's a steady rainfall outside my window. It's all going rather well, a nice economical over, before Finn lets loose a loopy full toss. Kieran Powell says thank you very much and cover drives with aplomb to the boundary. Finn looks a tad irked with himself.

It would have been a brilliant stunning catch had he been able to hold on! Brathwaite has a life but a wonderful effort from the England captain.

  19. WI 15-1published at 4 overs

Chris Woakes' accuracy so nearly reaped rewards there. It's the line that's made all the difference. Kraigg Brathwaite is struggling as a couple of deliveries keep low, and that'll be a maiden.

  20. dropped catch

    WI 15-1

Oh! That is a tremendous effort from Eoin Morgan. Kraigg Brathwaite tries to work up and off his pads but it's a loopy leading edge. Morgan backpedals and then leaps like a fish out of water. He gets one hand to it but he can't cling on as he drops to the ground. That would have been a belter.
