With Holder, it really looks like there is so much more you can get from him. Small tweaks and he could have a bit more of an impact.

    Root 65, Woakes 8

Captain Jason Holder will return and Joe Root rides the bounce, drawing his bat away from a shorter delivery. Holder gets decent bounce but he's not quite got that pace behind him to make him really dangerous, you feel. It also feels like things have calmed down slightly out there.

And with that, I'll hand you back to Kal.

    Nurse 10-0-3-34

Ooh! Joe Root nearly gets bowled through the gate. He completely misjudged the length of that delivery from Ashley Nurse and ended up kneeing it away for a couple of runs. This isn't the most comfortable to watch from England, Chris Woakes is the next to miss the line of a fuller delivery, but they've managed to see off Ashley Nurse. 10-0-3-34. Take a bow.

Rob Palin: Blimey, go for a shower & England lose 3 wickets. Stay unwashed in future.

Dave Read: What happened there? I only went for a quick bite to eat!

Jack Anderson: How many English battling collapses will there be until the captain and coach start picking five bowlers? This is ridiculous.

    Bishoo 10-0-43-2

That's a good delivery from Devendra Bishoo, turning away from Chris Woakes as he presses forward and coming so close to nicking the outside edge. A rare full-toss has Woakes interested but there's not enough hammer in the shot and the ball flies to backward point. A boundary! A rare occurance - too short from Bishoo, and Woakes flat-bats it away. That's the end of Bishoo's spell. Lovely figures of 10-0-43-2.

  6. Eng 131-6published at 27 overs

    Root 61, Woakes 3

Ashley Nurse takes his time, making Chris Woakes wait as he tinkers with his field. There's a single slip and four men in the circle. Woakes defends, bat straight and close to the body, before he can jog a quick single, before Root nabs another from the final ball of the over. England just trying to see off the spinners at the moment.

Greg:  How many failures on the trot has it been for Jos now? It seems like lots.

Matt: England's cricketers never cease to amaze me.

Richard Barter: England can never make a run chase easy to watch, or listen to.

    Target 226

Chris Woakes is the next man in, while Devendra Bishoo tosses the ball from hand to hand. He tosses the ball up temptingly into Woakes' eyeline but it's a nicely controlled push from Woakes to get off the mark. He misreads the quicker delivery though, shaping to cut and only just avoiding getting an edge through to Shai Hope. Ashley Nurse puffs his cheeks out at slip as he watches on.

Very good bowling by Ashley Nurse. Spun a little bit but deceived England completely. I see trouble. All depends on Root to see them home but to me, West Indies are in the ascendancy now.

Four wickets gone for 16 runs in the last five overs. What a superb spell from Ashley Nurse and Devendra Bishoo. The West Indies are in control at the moment.

    Moeen b Nurse 3 (Eng 124-6)

Ashley Nurse! Lovely stuff there, Nurse getting some revs on the ball. But Moeen's footwork was non-existent, so deep in his crease that he didn't have time to adjust to the shot. It snuck through his push forward and sent the bails up into the air. Nurse wheels away in celebration.

    Target 226

Shai Hope took three attempts at that catch to dismiss Jos Buttler, but it stuck in the end. Joe Root mimes slog-sweeping over the top as Devendra Bishoo whizzes through the rest of his over.

It was a very good delivery by Bishoo. It's never easy from the wicket-keeper to take them. Even though he juggled twice before he took it, it was a good catch. Jos Buttler's bad run of form continues.

England were 87-1. They're now 117-5. What an excellent performance from the West Indies spinners. Moeen's the next man in; he needs to put in a partnership with Joe Root and help England out of this pickle.

    Buttler 0 c Hope b Bishoo (Eng 117-5)

Gone! A seven-ball duck for Jos Buttler! Another nice bit of bowling from Devendra Bishoo, Buttler onto the back foot and trying to work the ball away. It's close again though, a hint of turn, and the ball popped up off the edge to Hope. There's a wait to check if it's a no-ball, but no. That's out. Buttler must go.

Now it's Joe Root's turn to offer up a chance! Devendra Bishoo draws the edge from Root and Ashley Nurse, the sole slip, dives but he can't get his hand to it. An excellent effort those, Nurse at full stretch. Root thanks his stars and runs a quick three.

Fine piece of fielding, very quick across the field was the looming figure of Jason Holder.

Not far off for the West Indies there, Jos Buttler really having to scramble to reach his ground. He's managed it, mind. Safe, for the time being.

Oh, that is so close from Ashley Nurse! Jos Buttler tries to whip the spinner off his pads but the ball sneaks under his shot and cannons into the pad!

And now we've got a run-out chance, Buttler diving to make his ground. Has he made it? We're going upstairs.

  20. Eng 113-4published at 22 overs

Jos Buttler is the next man in, with plenty of men in place to cut off the quick single. What a good spell this has been from Devendra Bishoo.
