You can't bowl 77mph bouncers at Jonny Bairstow. He's just too good, Dwaine Pretorious.

Target 143
Quality. Bairstow is so good he can even adjust and hit four after Pretorious spots him coming down and digs the ball in. A little flick later and the ball is flying to the rope at fine leg.
The fight has now completely drained out of the fielding side.
Take that, Imran. Bairstow is in full flight...

England are going to win with five overs to spare.
Target 143
Back comes JJ Smuts. Fun fact: JJ's brother Kelly hit the highest score in the 125-year history of the Lancashire League in April. He made 211 out of a total of 323-6 for Todmorden against Enfield. This surpassed the score of Australia captain Michael Clarke, who struck an unbeaten 200 for Ramsbottom in 2002., external
Sadly for JJ, things aren't going quite so well for him here. Bairstow takes him for another boundary with a reverse sweep that is allowed to hit the rope by a fielder, who pretty much dives over it.

I used to love batting with Jonny, he'll get you runs which other people couldn't. He's easily the fittest and quickest guy in the England team. Chris Jordan and Sam Billings are also quick.
Target 143
They are dancing in the stands. One England fan (with a steward as side-kick) are busting out some moves to Madness. And why not?
It is party time on and off the pitch as Bairstow and Hales take new bowler Dwaine Pretorious' seam for 12, which includes a sliced four from Hales that loops over and skips away from the infield.
Target 143
Big shout for lbw as Shamsi spins one into Hales' pad. Clearly pitched outside leg, though. These are desperate times for Proteas. Even more so after Bairstow clubs his second six down the ground.

South Africa have got to bowl England out, they have no other chance to win this game.
Target 143
England's assault continues as Bairstow clubs Tahir over mid-wicket for another six. The spinner is making plenty of noise to suggest he is on the verge of a breakthrough, but the cries are ringing hollow. England are cruising.

John Holden-Peters: One of these days Jason Roy is going to score a real biggie. He is an exciting batsman. But he lacks the mental application.
Roy had taken Parnell for 23 the previous over and then he goes and does this...
Target 143
Just one over from Phehlukwayo as left-arm leggy Tabraiz Shamsi is brought into the attack. The England boys won't have seen much of him and they approach with caution, taking him for a comfortable five runs.

Imran Tahir is a matchwinner, he'll always take the positive option with the ball. He's what South Africa need. He's also one of the nicest men in cricket, a lovely man.
Target 143
Imran Tahir is on a hiding to nothing. He is brought on to try and wrestle South Africa a glimmer of hope and is swatted to cow corner for six second ball by Hales. No need to go hard again. Couple of easy singles ends the powerplay. A run a ball needed.

Stoney: Roy managed to forget what he was doing during a change of overs. Fans don't have such short memories. Very poor shot.
Sonney Stelling: Roy was looking so good, absolute shocker of a shot!
Target 143
In comes Jonny Bairstow and picks up where Roy left off (before this over) with a late cut for four to get off the mark. England are cruising. So why did South Africa find this surface such a challenge?
It was all going so well for Jason...
