Mason Crane speaking to Sky Sports: "It was great fun. I said after first game that bowling to AB de Villiers was an amazing experience. He started hitting me out of the park but I was still trying to enjoy every ball.

"I was trying to slide it under his bat and go wide and he hit them for six. When it came to the last ball I thought throw it up and see what he does. Luckily it went straight down Alex Hales' throat.

"It (emotion) pours out when you get a big wicket. It was amazing to get a first wicket for England so I have got to enjoy it.

"It was great to win the series and I am over moon we got over the line."

The England players are awarded their medals and Eoin Morgan collects the series trophy.

    The players spray champagne everywhere.

Mason Crane still doesn't look old enough to be allowed to drink it.

England stand-in captain Jos Buttler: "I thought we had a really good score. Dawid batted on a different wicket to the rest of us. Having played here a lot recently, the guys then had a plan in the field. Players like Tom Curran showed they have an old head on young shoulders. He's only 22, but he knows what he wants to do."

  6. 'We lost it in the field'published at 18:18 British Summer Time 25 June 2017

South Africa captain AB de Villiers: "They played better. Credit to Morgs and Jos today. In the field we lost 20 runs and we lost by 19. We slipped up with a couple of mistakes, not just catching but fumbling a few balls.

"We were guilty in the first 10 overs of bowling a few soft deliveries but we finished well. Credit to Dane Paterson for a really good spell at the end.

"It wasn't easy to bat. Plunkett, Curran and Jordan all bowled well. We put a bit of pressure on the spinner and Willey and we were only 19 short but it comes down to the field. We let it slip there."

Asked if he considered not attacking Mason Crane when he was dismissed: "Never. I was always going to go. Well done to him. Well played. He stuck to his guns. I thought he handled it really well."

Dawid Malan played a very measured innings. What I like most is that he played how he does for Middlesex. He picked up length really well, capitalised on any width and scored all around the wicket. As you progress in international cricket, bowlers work you out so it's good that he has so many options.

Dawid Malan, who scored 78: "I didn't think this day would ever come so it was nice to get the opportunity to show what I can do. I can't think I have made it after one game, I have to keep scoring runs for Middlesex and that's what I will do."

This has been a thoroughly enjoyable series of crash, bang, wallop T20 cricket.

The players are all pitchside to receive their medals.

Dawid Malan is awarded the man of the match prize for his 78 on debut.

From what I know of Eoin Morgan, he won't care one jot that people are criticising him. He's such a steely character.

It makes no sense if you're blooding new players to not have your captain out there. Eoin Morgan would have benefited from being alongside Mason Crane during that over when he was being smashed by AB de Villiers and then took a wicket.

Both teams have blooded youngsters in this series and will be pleased that pressure was created in each game and players like Mason Crane and Dawid Malan reacted positively.

Eoin Morgan can be pretty pleased with that.

When you decide to rest yourself in a series decider you MUST win.

But Dawid Malan's 78 on debut and an excellent all-round bowling and fielding performance does the job.

Chris Jordan took three wickets, Tom Curran two and Liam Plunkett and Mason Crane one apiece.

    An all-round team performance.

Dawid Malan had a fantastic debut, scoring runs all round the wicket, and Jos Buttler's cameo got England up to a par score. England's bowlers then performed outstandingly throughout.
