England need to bowl out West Indies asap. If West Indies get a lead of more than 150, they should win the match from there.

Aside from Chris Woakes' spell with the second new ball, England's bowling wasn't completely woeful yesterday.

They were unlucky in the morning and the pitch flattened out as the sun belted down in the afternoon and evening.

In truth, the hosts are in this position because of their batting flaws, yet again.

The bowlers need to bail them out quickly today and that top order desperately needs to apply themselves if England are to fight back in this Test.

James Taylor is completely right - the microphone shouldn't be used in that way; personally think Stokes just showed character by doing that, and he wasn't directing it at anyone so I don't see a problem.

Right you are, Jim. I imagine Glenn McGrath has already made his customary 5-0 prediction for the Ashes.

Not that England can afford to think about Australia yet. This series is far from won - and if Windies keep playing like this, England could lose it too.

It's simple - the ICC need a big swear jar. £1,000 per swear word. It'll soon stop.

I think it's exceptionally petty. There's an Ashes Test match around the corner and England can't afford to lose him. The stump microphone shouldn't be used to catch people out in this way.

I didn't see anything yesterday - it was high-class, outstanding cricket. If the stump microphone has picked up on some swearing - turn the microphone off. What's better for cricket? Ben Stokes playing cricket is what's better for the game.

They're discussing Stokes' reprimand right now...fair to say most are not impressed at the ICC's priorities.

Some news to bring you up to date with if you haven't already seen it...

England vice-captain Ben Stokes has been reprimanded for using "obscene, offensive or insulting" language during day two.

The all-rounder got a bit sweary when Shai Hope edged him through the slips for four late on on a chastening day for England.

He's had one demerit point added to his disciplinary record, and is now just one point away from a ban. Keep it shtum, Stokes.

Not sure he was swearing at Hope, though. Is this a tad harsh?

You weren't expecting this scorecard at the start of day three, were you?

The most critical among you might not even have expected this to go to day three after Edgbaston.

But West Indies have been thrillingly, madly, unexpectedly brilliant.

Especially yesterday, when Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope showed immense class to score two fine centuries.

Hope is still there - can he help the visitors bat England out of this Test?

Hope is still there for England, too - but they need quick wickets and an improved batting performance in the second innings to stand a chance.
