  1. Lunch - WI 427 all outpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

    Lead by 169

Obviously that's lunch and England's openers Alastair Cook and Mark Stoneman will be out there after the interval.

They have a lot to do, West Indies firmly in control after those brilliant centuries from Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope, compounded by useful contributions by Jermaine Blackwood and Jason Holder.

  2. wicket

Gabriel lbw Stokes 10 (WI 427 all out)

Yep - impact in line and clipping the top edge of leg stump.

It was umpire's call and given out on the field so the decision stands and England finally end this fine West Indies innings for 427 - a lead of 169 runs.

    Stirring stuff from the tourists.

Because West Indies have a review they might as well use it but I think this is out.

  4. West Indies reviewpublished at 127 overs

Stokes goes full and straight and clatters it into Gabriel's pads.

Huge appeal and the finger is raised!

Windies have a review left so will use it, of course. Looks out though.

  5. Not outpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

On we go. It did indeed strike Gabriel on the shoulder, with no tickle on the bat handle on the way through.

  6. West Indies reviewpublished at 126.4 overs

    Surely it's all over?

Ben Stokes finally gets a short ball right and Shannon Gabriel fends it away to gully, where a sharp catch is taken by Dawid Malan.

He's given out but he's reviewed it straight away - did it hit him on the shoulder perhaps?

Does anyone else think that's a very odd-looking Windies scorecard. Not sure whether to take heart from the 100s or worry about all of the single digit figures in terms of England getting back into the match.

    Lunch is delayed.

As West Indies are nine down, the extra half hour has been taken.

England look in dire need of replenishment.

Not to be - Stokes will continue at Gabriel.

  9. WI 427-9published at 126 overs

Woakes to Roach - all too easy for the tailender to deal with before the Brummie strays down leg and it flicks the pads en route to the boundary.

This is turgid bowling from England. The short ball not really getting them anywhere - too many not directed at the body.

  10. Gabriel goes bigpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Shannon Gabriel may not be the most elegant batsman you've ever seen but this was an excellent drive to hit Moeen for six.

  11. WI 423-9published at 125 overs

    Roach 6, Gabriel 10

Stokes continues to just bang in short balls at Gabriel - the first one so far down leg it's called a wide.

Not the wisest tactic this - these short ones aren't even directed at the body. He'd be better targeting Gabriel's stumps.

The number 11 does love a flashy drive whenever it's pitched up, swinging and missing at a couple but he survives.

I have seen enough in this pitch that if West Indies bowl like the did in the first innings it will be a real challenge for England.

  13. WI 422-9published at 124 overs

Nothing of note in that Woakes over as Roach is easily in behind and defending or ducking under every delivery.

Nicely played by the number 10. A maiden for Woakes.

If the final Windies wicket falls now then lunch will be taken early.

So no nervy little session for England's openers but the hosts will have expected to have Windies all out by now after that start.

  15. WI 422-9published at 123 overs

    Lead by 164

Stokes steams in at Gabriel - a few barbs traded between this pair in this Test.

A series of short balls duly follow - Gabriel playing them well enough for now.

Gabriel then pounces on a full ball, playing an up-an-under over mid-off to scramble a couple.

He ducks under another short one to finish.

  16. Blackwood run out, Gabriel droppedpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Bit of a mixed bag in the field so far today for England - this was one of their better moments as Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow combined to see off Jermaine Blackwood...

...but Mark Stoneman will be disappointed not to have taken this chance to end the West Indies innings.

West Indies have never lost a Test match with a first innings lead of over 150.

  18. WI 420-9published at 122 overs

    Roach 6, Gabriel 8

Gabriel dabs a single before Roach calmly plays out the rest of Woakes' over.

England brought everyone up to try and ensure Gabriel is on strike next over - but Roach had no intention of playing the last ball, happy to let his partner have a go.

It'll be Stokes versus Gabriel next up. Tasty.

It's not just England in trouble...

Australia are 14-3 after just seven overs against Bangladesh with David Warner, Usman Khawaja and nightwatchman Nathan Lyon back in the hutch.

It may be early in the innings but it is already trial by spin with Mehedi Hasan and Shakib al Hasan taking the wickets along with a run out.
